Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Unleashes Special Codes For Legendary Encounters

Players can redeem codes to catch Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus during the Unova event.

Pokémon GO players are gearing up for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, which offers fans unique chances to catch legendary Pokémon via special timed research tasks. Running initially from February 21 to March 6, 2025, players can redeem three special codes for opportunities to encounter Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus, pivotal Pokémon from the Unova region.

These codes are quite significant, considering they not only offer access to specific Pokémon but also encapsulate the excitement surrounding the Unova event, part of the larger celebration of the fifth generation of Pokémon. Players will need to act quickly, as these promo codes will expire when the event concludes on March 2, 2025, at roughly 6 PM local time.

The redemption codes are as follows: Code 4RD3GGA4ZMEGP will grant players access to Tornadus Timed Research, 4Q4UZLY6MUH9K will offer Thundurus Timed Research, and 9PTA874LYDAJH will bring forth Landorus Timed Research. Each quest requires players to catch 156 Pokémon originally discovered from the Unova region to complete the tasks successfully.

Completing the research is no easy feat, but the upcoming Spotlight Hour featuring Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott can significantly help players accumulate the necessary Pokémon. Trends suggest this specific hour could be the perfect opportunity for players to advance toward their goal.

Aside from the timed research, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova will feature four rotating habitat hours during the two-day event on March 1-2, 2025. Starting from 10 AM to 6 PM local time each day, players will experience the Winter Caverns, Spring Soirée, Summer Vacation, and Autumn Masquerade habitats, each filled with unique Pokémon spawns and exciting surprises.

Player participation hinges on whether they opt for the Black or White version of the event. Those picking the Black version can earn Reshiram-themed Special Research rewards, whereas players choosing the White version will receive Zekrom-themed rewards. Critical event bonuses include halved egg hatch distances and no remote raid limits between March 1 at 12 AM to March 2 at 11:59 PM, along with the ability to conduct up to six special trades each day, making the event considerably more rewarding.

Niantic is ensuring player engagement through diverse activities and features, including exclusive black and white-themed bonuses, free-to-play challenges, and limited-time quests. The paid features graduate to include the shiny Meloetta Masterwork Research quest priced at $4.99, providing another path for players eager to expand their Pokémon collections.

For those who missed the earlier regional Go Tour events held in New Taipei City and Los Angeles, this global version allows everyone to participate without needing to purchase event tickets. Players from around the world will have access to exclusive Pokémon, including previously unreleased shiny versions of Pokémon like Shiny Maractus and Shiny Sigilyph, along with several new avatar cosmetics associated with the event.

Pokémon GO's Go Tour: Unova promises to be engaging and packed with events and research quests, providing players with opportunities to collect iconic Generation 5 Pokemon. The inclusion of the Incarnate Forms of Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus paired with the dynamic event structure creates anticipation among players.

Fans of Pokémon GO should mark their calendars and prepare to redeem their codes. It’s going to be impossible to catch them all without partaking actively during the event. Players are encouraged to stay updated on upcoming research tasks and to take full advantage of the festive community and dynamic gameplay. With the excitement building for Pokémon Day on February 27 and the various announcements expected, players should definitely tune in closely to what Niantic has planned.
