Planned Power Outages Set For Volgograd Residents

Temporary disruptions to electrical supply scheduled for March 19 affect multiple districts as repairs are carried out.

Residents of three districts of Volgograd will face scheduled power outages on March 19, 2025. The planned temporary outages are due to necessary repairs at the electrical grid facilities, according to Volgogradenergo, the regional energy supplier. These outages are precautionary measures aimed at maintaining the integrity and reliability of the power supply.

From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the Soviet district will experience significant interruptions. Specific streets affected include 35th Guards Division street with house numbers 38, 40, 42, and 44 temporarily without power. More outages will occur on Timiryazev street, affecting house number 52, and Janka Kupala street, covering houses 67, 67a, and 71 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, additional outages will occur on Janka Kupala street (houses 67, 67a, 69, and 71) as well as Timiryazev street (houses 50 and 52).

The disruptions on various streets within the Soviet district will extend throughout the day. From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, other areas affected include Pokrovskaya street, Tyssovaya street, Yezhevichnaya street, Bodraya street, Zvonkaya street, Biryuzovaya street, Vinogradnaya street, Venskaya street, Mariinskaya street, Iverskaya street, Dunaiskaya street, Knyagininskaya street, Yamskaya street, Parkovaya street, Vysotnaya street, Zvezdnaya street, Borovaya street, Gazonny lane, Gorsky lane, and Ovrazhnaya street.

Following the Soviet district outages, residents of the Krasnooctyabrsky district will also be affected. Power outages will occur from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Shchors street, Sergeant Voronov street, Przhevalsky street, and several others including Krasivaya street and Listopadnaya street. The area will also see disruptions on Kholzunova street, impacting various house ranges such as 126-168, 128-144, and others specified on Tiraspol and Kommunarov streets.

Further debris from potential power interruptions will impact the Krasnoarmeysky district, with outages planned from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Affected streets include Vucheticha street, Lomakina street, Bakhturova street, Pyatimorskaya street, and Brest street.

According to representatives from PAO Rosseti Yug, which manages energy services across the region, the outages are necessary to facilitate repair and preventive work on the electrical networks. These scheduled interruptions on March 19 are part of routine maintenance aimed at ensuring efficient energy distribution and preventing unexpected failures.

Residents have been advised to make arrangements for the outages, which are expected to end by 5:00 PM on the same day. The underlying message communicated by energy officials is the importance of these repairs, with the aim of enhancing the reliability of power supply for everyone involved.

The timing of the outages has raised awareness among the local community, as many have planned for these interruptions to coordinate their daily activities. While these inconveniences may cause momentary disruptions, the long-term benefits associated with improved electrical service are aimed to outshine the temporary lapses.

Local residents are encouraged to stay updated through official channels, including social media and local news, on developments concerning the outages. Authorities have also promised to provide usual updates during the outages, ensuring everyone is well-informed.

It's always prudent for residents to have backup plans and resources during such scheduled outages—whether it's having flashlights ready, adjusting their schedules or keeping powered devices charged. Preparation can make the inconvenience of lack of electricity more manageable.

March 19 will provide plenty of challenges for many, but with the collaborative efforts from the energy providers and the residents' cooperation, the primary goal remains the reinstatement of reliable electric service across Volgograd.
