"I am in palliative care, cancer stage four, not curable," she stated, emphasizing the severity of her situation. Despite the grim diagnosis, Patrice remains resolute, stating, "Every pain-free day is a gift." Patrice's treatment regimen is rigorous; she currently takes 21 tablets daily, including medication for targeted cancer therapy, corticosteroids for side effects from previous treatments, and additional drugs to manage pain and sleep issues. "I swallow daily 21 tablets. So many as needed, so few as possible. My day begins and ends with them," she explained. The side effects of her medication have been difficult, yet she has adapted to her new reality. "At the moment, I can live well with the side effects of the cancer medication. I have gotten used to a new way of life," she noted.
The emotional toll of her diagnosis has been significant, not only for Patrice but also for her husband, Daniel Aminati, a well-known TV presenter, and their young daughter, Charly Malika, who was born just before Patrice received her diagnosis. "The feeling of freedom and lightheartedness has been taken from me," Patrice reflected. She expressed deep concern for her family's future, particularly for her daughter, stating, "I worry about the people I will leave behind, especially my little girl. I have tried not to give in to the diagnosis but to fight back for my life."

"When my body was at its end, I was most grateful for it," she remarked.
In addition to her personal reflections, Patrice and Daniel have also expressed their desire to renew their wedding vows on April 27, 2027, which would mark both their wedding anniversary and Patrice's birthday. "I would love to remarry on our anniversary and renew our vows," Daniel shared, revealing their commitment to celebrating their love amidst adversity.
