OVO Energy is set to move its headquarters to new sustainable premises, relocating from its current offices at 1 Rivergate to the Crescent building at Temple Back. This move aligns with the company's sustainability goals and marks another step forward as one of the leading entities in green energy.
OVO will occupy the entire fourth and fifth floors of the building, which offers a total of 22,894 square feet of space. With its numerous facilities and sustainable credentials—including BREEAM Excellent, EPC A, and Net Zero Carbon capabilities—the Crescent building meets the high standards OVO aims to uphold.
The building is equipped with energy-efficient systems, features bike-friendly designs, and promotes flexible, sustainable working arrangements for employees. Julia Diggs, the vice president of people at OVO, expressed her enthusiasm about the relocation, stating, “We’ve been working hard to find a space... the way we work.”
Bristol has been OVO's home since 2014, and the company prides itself on its commitment to the local community. “We’ll be collaborating with our people to design the office to serve their needs today, adapting to meet future demands,” Diggs added.
CEG, the landlord of the new premises, welcomed OVO as the first tenant to this newly refurbished building. Paul Richardson, the investment manager at CEG, shared his excitement, saying, “It’s fantastic... the fantastic range of facilities on offer.” He emphasized the effort made to create a vibrant, healthy working environment conducive to modern needs.
Founded by Stephen Fitzpatrick back in 2009, OVO Energy has established itself as a pioneer within community energy projects and renewable energy solutions for both homes and businesses throughout the UK. The firm's dedication to sustainable practices is evident as they transition to their new headquarters.
With this relocation, OVO Energy not only enhances its operational capabilities but also solidifies its commitment to zero-carbon living and creates more collaborative workspaces for its employees. The move reflects broader industry trends toward sustainability and corporate responsibility, aiming to inspire other companies to follow suit.
