Overwatch 2 Partners With Le Sserafim For Epic Collaboration

Players can unlock new skins and challenges from March 18 through April 1, featuring exclusive rewards and K-pop flair.

Overwatch 2 is betting big on Korean cross-appeal as it hosts another collaboration with girl group Le Sserafim this month. The team shooter is offering a new collection based on the Kpop quintet, with special legendary skins for characters available to earn or buy for a limited time.

Blizzard has officially launched the second wave of the Le Sserafim collaboration, bringing new skins, recolors, and a special event packed with challenges and rewards. The LE SSERAFIM Homecoming event is live from March 18, 2025, to April 1, 2025.

Players can unlock skins for heroes such as Juno, Mercy, Illari, Ashe, and D.Va. If you missed out on the Fawksey James Junkrat skin from the first wave, now’s your chance to grab it again. Players can earn free rewards by completing event challenges, all while stacking up Battle Pass XP.

This month’s event features eight challenges offering a total of 40,000 XP, along with exclusive cosmetics. Players need to complete tasks like earning eliminations and dealing damage to unlock additional rewards, such as the FEARLESS Fighter title or the Blue Glowstick weapon charm.

The challenges are as follows: complete six LE SSERAFIM event challenges for 5,000 XP and the FEARLESS Fighter player title; earn 50 eliminations/assists with ultimates for another 5,000 XP and the Yachefan weapon charm; deal 30,000 damage with abilities for 5,000 XP; and so forth for each of the eight tasks.

This latest update not only expands the game's skin roster but also aims to captivate the K-pop fanbase, tying in aspects of their culture and increasing the game’s reach into new markets. “Get hands-on with Freja’s deadly kit, built for players who thrive on accuracy, agility, and pure tactical domination,” the studio said, referring to the preview weekend for the new character Freja set for March 22-23.

In addition to this collaboration, Overwatch 2 is also hosting a 6v6 Open Queue through March 21, allowing players to jump back into the classic format of the game. Following that, a run of GOATS—a popular team composition from the game’s early days—will take place from March 25 through April 7. And players will enjoy the Normalwatch event starting on April 1, featuring some light-hearted fun amidst the competitive environment.

The ongoing collaboration between Overwatch 2 and the girl group serves as a prime example of the gaming industry’s growing trend towards cross-promotional efforts with popular musicians and public figures. This collaboration not only adds flair to the available content but also helps Blizzard tap into the passionate fanbase of Le Sserafim, showcasing skins that resonate with K-pop aesthetics.

“Don’t miss out on free rewards,” Blizzard recommended to players, urging them to take part in this limited-time event to ensure they could maximize their in-game progress and unlock coveted items before the event concludes.

The rewards available during this event include exclusive weapon charms, titles, and skins that help enhance personalized gameplay for players while connecting them to a broader community of fans.

Ultimately, with the new skins and events, Overwatch 2 continues to engage its audience during Season 15 while providing a dynamic gaming experience that caters not only to established players but also seeks to attract new fans through pop culture partnerships.
