ONE Lumpinee 98 Showcases Thrilling Fights And Star Performances

Chartpayak and Assadullah claim victories as fans enjoy action-packed night.

ONE Championship delivered another exhilarating night for fight fans on February 28, 2025, at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium (Ramintra) featuring its latest installment, ONE Lumpinee 98. The event showcased twelve electrifying matchups as fighters from around the globe stepped onto the canvas, highlighting both established stars and rising talents.

Headlining the event was the thrilling matchup between Chartpayak Sakdatthul, the 26-year-old undefeated fighter from Satun, and the young 22-year-old left-handed dynamo Kongchai Chaindonmuang from Buriram. From the opening bell, Chartpayak set the pace with his aggressive style, immediately engaging Kongchai. The first round saw Chartpayak suffer a cut from Kongchai's elbow strike, but he remained undeterred.

Fans bore witness to the intensity ramping up as both fighters exchanged heavy blows, with the atmosphere charged with excitement. By the end of the bout, all three judges declared Chartpayak the winner by unanimous decision. This victory marked his sixth consecutive win and bolstered his reputation as one of the sport's prominent figures.

Another highlight of the night was the co-main event featuring Assadullah Imankazaliev of Russia, who faced off against Morocco's Mohamed Tawfik. At just 21 years old, Assadullah had already built up an impressive record and was determined to keep his winning streak alive. The dynamic clash sparked off with both fighters exchanging tactical strikes, but it was Assadullah who dominated the action, consistently pushing forward.

During the second round, he inflicted significant pressure on Mohamed, managing to score two counts of eight from the referee as he unloaded powerful combinations. Despite Mohamed's efforts to adapt and counter, he couldn’t find his rhythm, resulting in Assadullah clinching the victory by unanimous decision. This win improved Assadullah's record to four fights without defeat, solidifying his potential as a formidable competitor.

Throughout the intense series of bouts on the card, three fighters caught the attention of ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong, leading to them being awarded performance bonuses of 350,000 Baht each. The recipients of this honor included Japan's Issei Yonaha, Laos' Nong Bia Laolanchang, and Chaba Kaew S..Kanchanaburi, whose outstanding performances were compelling enough to earn them this special recognition.
