Odisha Class 10th Result 2025 Declared With 94.93% Pass Rate

Over 5.22 lakh students appeared for exams with girls outperforming boys in results.

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, announced the much-anticipated Odisha Class 10th Result 2025 today, May 2. Students who appeared for the Annual High School Certificate (AHSC) Examination, Madhyama Examination, and the State Open School Certificate Examination (1st) can access their results on the official websites: bseodisha.ac.in and orissaresults.nic.in.

The results were declared at 4 PM during a press conference led by Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, who commended the students for their hard work and the smooth conduct of the examinations. The online result link will be active from 6 PM today, allowing students to check their scores by entering their roll number and date of birth in the specified format.

This year, over 5.22 lakh students appeared for the Odisha Class 10 board examinations held from February 21 to March 6, 2025, across 3,133 exam centres statewide. The results show a pass percentage of 94.93%, reflecting a slight decline from last year's 96.07%.

According to the data released, a total of 510,779 students registered for the exams, with 502,417 appearing, and 484,863 successfully passing. Notably, 2,446,12 girls achieved a commendable pass rate of 96%, outperforming the 240,251 boys who passed with a success rate of 94%.

Grade-wise results indicate that 1,112 students scored an A1 grade (above 90%), while 12,200 received A2, 38,831 got B1, and 84,971 passed in B2. Over 1 lakh students secured C grade, and 67,013 students cleared the exam with E grade. A total of 17,384 students did not pass, and 169 students were marked for malpractice.

For the convenience of students, the BSE has introduced a QR code on the digital mark sheets to ensure authenticity and prevent tampering. Students are advised to download their provisional marksheets from the official website once the results are released, as the originals will be distributed by their respective schools shortly thereafter.

In addition to the online access, students without internet can check their results via SMS by typing "OR10 " and sending it to 5676750. This service aims to ensure that every student, regardless of their access to the internet, can receive their results promptly.

Gajapati district excelled this year, recording the highest number of toppers in the Odisha Class 10 board exams with an impressive pass percentage of 99.3%. It was followed by Ganjam at 98.10% and Jharsuguda at 97.87%. In contrast, Koraput registered the lowest pass rate of 92.83%.

Looking back at last year's results, girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 96.73 compared to boys' 93%. The overall pass percentage last year was 96.07%, with 2,644 schools achieving a perfect 100% pass rate.

Students who are unsatisfied with their marks will have the opportunity to apply for revaluation, which is expected to begin in June 2025. The application process will be facilitated through the official BSE Odisha portal, and students are advised to carefully assess their results before submitting a revaluation request.
