On the last Tuesday of December, the October Rose charity event concluded with significant success, raising funds for the ONCOBERRY association. President Marc Terminet welcomed representatives from eight local clubs at the District headquarters for the presentation of the collected amounts.
The event saw the participation of clubs such as US St Florent, US Nancay Neuvy Vouzeron, and others, who joined forces to support cancer awareness and research. Organized by Laëtitia Baulande from the Committee, the event exemplified community spirit and commitment to social causes.
A total of €3,411 was raised, which was formally handed over to Chantal Rondet, representing ONCOBERRY. Reflecting on the occasion, Terminet expressed gratitude, noting, "C’est en ce dernier mardi que le Président Marc TERMINET a eu le plaisir d’accueillir...". He acknowledged the effort of all clubs involved, highlighting the importance of collective action against cancer.
Baulande emphasized the significance of this donation, stating, "Cette opération menée dans le cadre d’OCTOBRE ROSE...". The funds raised will aid ONCOBERRY’s initiatives, which focus on improving the lives of those affected by cancer through various supportive programs.
Chantal Rondet, visibly pleased with the turnout and the generosity displayed, remarked during the check presentation, "a remise unique en faveur de l’Association ONCOBERRY, représentée ce jour même par Madame Chantal RONDET". The funds will help bolster their outreach and assistance efforts, ensuring more patients receive the support they need.
The event not only marked the culmination of this year’s fundraising activities but also set the stage for future collaborations among various organizations dedicated to cancer awareness. The combined efforts of the clubs represent the strength found within community partnerships, especially on pressing issues like health and wellness.
Overall, the October Rose charity event demonstrated the immense power of unity and outreach within the community. With each member contributing their part, the goal of enhancing cancer awareness and support drew one step closer to realization.
