Oasis Announces 2025 North American Reunion Tour

The iconic Britpop band returns with added dates across major cities after nearly two decades apart

Oasis is officially back, and fans couldn't be happier! The iconic British rock band, famous for hits like "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger," has announced their much-anticipated North American reunion tour for 2025, bringing their signature sound to fans across the continent.

Set to kick off on August 24, 2025, at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, the tour will include two nights at the venue - just added due to overwhelming demand. Following Toronto, Oasis will take the stage at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, followed by MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Finally, they will wrap up their North American dates with performances at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, Mexico, on September 12 and 13.

Joining them on this exciting tour will be the rock band Cage the Elephant, who will serve as the special guest for all North American dates. This marks the first tour for the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, on this side of the Atlantic since they last performed together back in December 2008. The announcement is sure to attract considerable attention, as Oasis continues to hold a special place in the hearts of music lovers.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting this reunion, and the band seemed to have heard their supporters loud and clear. "America, Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove you loved us all along," the band declared during the announcement of the tour dates. This demonstrates their awareness of the fans' yearning for live music experiences, especially after the long hiatus following their split.

The anticipation surrounding the tour has prompted Oasis to add more dates, with additional shows added to the MetLife Stadium and Rose Bowl sites. Each of these venues has proven to be popular stops for major artists, showcasing the band’s return to large-scale live performances.

Ticket sales for the tour will officially begin on October 4, 2024, at 12 p.m. local time through Ticketmaster. A pre-sale event is scheduled for October 3rd, allowing dedicated fans to secure their spots early. To prepare for this, fans can register for pre-sale access through Oasis' official website, www.oasisinet.com, until October 1st.

Interestingly, following the recent controversies surrounding Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model, Oasis has announced they will not implement this pricing strategy for their North American stops. The band's management stated, "It is widely accepted...but when unprecedented ticket demand is combined with technology...it becomes less effective and can lead to unacceptable experiences for fans." Their decision aims to avoid issues many fans experienced during the ticket sales for their UK shows, where dynamic pricing led to ticket prices skyrocketing directly after they went on sale.

This tour marks more than just another set of concerts; it’s also part of Oasis' expansive global reunion tour. Kicking off with multiple sold-out shows across the UK and Ireland starting July 4, 2025, the band is exploring additional international locations. Fans are buzzing about the potential announcement of dates across Asia, Australia, South America, and other major cities worldwide.

Since their formation back in 1991, Oasis has transformed the music scene, giving rise to Britpop and influencing countless musicians worldwide. They gained fame both for their catchy songs and their well-publicized sibling rivalry, particularly between Liam and Noel Gallagher, which culminated in their split after performing together at the Rock en Seine festival twelve years ago.

Now, as the brothers put aside their differences for this tour, fans are more excited than ever, hoping for classic tracks along with perhaps some surprise selections. After all, nothing pulls deep emotion from fans quite like the nostalgia of their favorite tracks performed live.

The release of their debut album, "Definitely Maybe," celebrated its 30th anniversary earlier this year. This reunification was likely both timely and strategic, as the buzz from nostalgia continues to fuel interest and rekindle the passion for the band's massive catalog of music.

These upcoming shows promise to be monumental, not only as they will be showcasing their usual hits, but also for the sheer excitement of witnessing the Gallagher brothers share the stage again. So, mark your calendars and get ready for the chance to see one of the world's biggest acts back together.

Fans are reminded to stay tuned for more information on global dates and updates as the band prepares to take the stage once more. It seems like the music world is about to be treated to something truly special!
