NTA Announces JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Results

Over 12 lakh students appeared for this year's exam with 14 candidates scoring 100 percentile.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the results for the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 on February 11, 2025. Enthusiastic candidates can check their scores on the official NTA website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. This year's examination saw impressive participation, with 13,11,544 candidates registering for the paper, and 12,58,136 actually sitting for the test.

The JEE Main 2025 exams took place from January 22 to 30, with candidates attending across 618 centers located both nationally and internationally, including 15 cities outside India. Conducted online, the exam was offered in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

During this session, 14 candidates achieved the coveted 100 percentile, indicating perfect scores. Among these high achievers, five hailed from Rajasthan, demonstrating the state's strong performance. The complete list of toppers includes Ayush Singhal, Kushagra Gupta, Daksh, Harsmjha, and Rajit Gupta, exemplifying the talent present this year.

For most candidates, the JEE Main score will be pivotal as only the top 250,000 will qualify for JEE Advanced to be held on May 18, 2025. These advanced scores play a significant role in their admission to India's prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other participating institutes.

The examination process included several steps leading up to the results announcement. The NTA released the provisional answer key on February 4, 2025, allowing candidates to challenge specific questions until February 6. Following this, the final answer key was published on February 10, which included 12 dropped questions, affecting multiple shifts of the Paper 1 exam. Candidates from those shifts will be granted full marks for these dropped questions.

The new cut-off marks for the JEE Main 2025 session are still expected to be announced alongside the results of Session 2, projected for release later. Guidance around expected cut-offs indicates they may fluctuate from the previous year, where the Common Rank List (CRL) cut-off stood at 93.23.

This year has seen significant participation from students across gender lines, with the statistics highlighting 4,24,810 female candidates, 8,33,325 male candidates, and just one third-gender candidate among those who tested. Notably, 39 candidates have had their results withheld due to engagement with unfair means during the examination process.

The examination statistics reveal impressive performance rates, with 95.93% of candidates taking the exam. This strong figure reflects not only the candidates' dedication but also the effective management of the examination process by the NTA.

Moving forward, interested candidates can begin preparing for Session 2 of the JEE Main 2025, with registration open until February 25, 2025. This next round is important for those wishing to improve their scores or achieve greater ranks. It is tentatively scheduled for early April 2025. Candidates are encouraged to stay informed through the NTA's official communications as they navigate this commendable achievement.
