Norse Atlantic Airways Launches Gatwick To Bangkok Route

New nonstop flights set to start October 26, 2025, enhancing travel options between Europe and Thailand.

Norse Atlantic Airways is set to make waves in the aviation market with the announcement of its new nonstop route connecting London-Gatwick to Bangkok, Thailand, starting on October 26, 2025. This move is significant as it marks the airline's entry to direct flights from the UK to the popular Southeast Asian destination, positioning itself as serious competition to British Airways and other carriers.

The launch of this route reflects the growing demand for seamless travel between Europe and Asia. Particularly, Bangkok has emerged as a vibrant hub attracting travelers from around the world, and Norse aims to capitalize on this trend. The Heathrow-based flights have long dominated this route, but with Norse's expansion, travelers will now have more choices when planning their trips.

Scheduled to operate up to four times weekly, the Gatwick-Bangkok flights will commence on Thursdays and Sundays, with return flights from Bangkok scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays initially. This schedule will then evolve, with four weekly flights available by November 30, 2025, serving passengers even more frequently.

The inaugural flight, Z0 791, will depart London-Gatwick at 4:00 PM, arriving at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport the following morning at 10:25 AM. The return service, Z0 792, offers evening departures from Bangkok at 12:30 PM and arrives back at Gatwick at 6:30 PM. This timing is particularly attractive as it provides travelers with convenient options for maximizing their time abroad.

To accommodate passengers, Norse Atlantic will operate its flights using Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which feature 338 seats laid out across two classes: Premium Economy with 56 seats and 282 seats in Economy. This ensures both comfort and affordability are prioritized for travelers. Promotional fares for the new route start at just $131 per leg, making it competitive with other airlines also servicing this lucrative market.

Besides the London-Bangkok connection, Norse Atlantic Airways is continuing its growth by launching another new service starting from Stockholm to Bangkok on October 28, which will operate two weekly flights. This strategic expansion showcases Norse Atlantic’s ambition to increase its presence not just within Europe but also across other continents.

Since its establishment, Norse Atlantic Airways has shown promise as it connects various international destinations. The airline has been linking travelers to Bangkok from its hub in Oslo, Norway, since 2023. This prior route has seen substantial patronage, leading to the logical step of enhancing connectivity by incorporating London-Gatwick.

Gatwick Airport serves as the airline's main hub within the UK, already facilitating daily flights to multiple major global destinations, particularly across the Atlantic and to South Africa. With the introduction of the London-Bangkok route, Norse Atlantic seeks to cater to travel demands, providing not only direct services but also establishing itself as a convenient option for future long-haul travel.

This new service not only delivers more options for leisure and business travelers alike but positions Norse Atlantic as another player within the fiercely competitive long-haul travel market. The air travel industry continues to recover following years of pandemic disruption, resulting in sustained interest for airlines aiming to extend their reach.

By offering new routes and competitive pricing, Norse Atlantic Airways demonstrates its commitment to enhancing travel connections between Europe and Asia. This effort aligns with broader ambitions to provide customers with more flexibility and choice without compromising on service quality.

With the increasing interest in travel to Thailand—whether for its rich culture, delightful cuisine, or beautiful landscapes—it seems high time for Norse Atlantic to enter this market. Travelers can now look forward to the convenience of direct flights from London to Bangkok, with more options on the horizon as Norse Atlantic continues its quest for expansion.
