NIT Delhi Announces JEE Main Cut-Offs For 2025

Students await crucial cut-off marks as JEE Main results are released

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi is gearing up for the release of its cut-off marks for 2025, a critical milestone for aspiring engineering students. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will announce these cut-offs on its official website, josaa.nic.in. Admission to NIT Delhi is contingent upon a candidate’s performance in the JEE Main examination, and students must achieve scores above the closing ranks to secure a spot in this prestigious institution.

NIT Delhi, recognized as one of the leading engineering colleges in India, offers a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines. It operates under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, making it a top choice for students pursuing engineering degrees.

The cut-off for JEE Main 2025 will be released in five rounds, providing multiple opportunities for candidates to secure admission. For the latest updates, students are encouraged to regularly check JoSAA’s official site. This year’s cut-off marks will reflect the competitive nature of the entrance exam, which has seen thousands of candidates vying for limited seats.

In 2024, the JEE Main cut-off for Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Delhi saw significant competition. The opening and closing ranks in Round 1 for Home State (HS) candidates in the Open Gender-Neutral category were set at 5477 and 9814, respectively. For Other State (OS) candidates, the figures were even more competitive, with opening and closing ranks at 2438 and 7361.

Similarly, the cut-off for Civil Engineering revealed a tough landscape for aspiring students. The Round 1 opening and closing ranks for HS candidates were 24991 and 29986, while OS candidates faced opening and closing ranks of 19291 and 23970. This trend continued across other engineering disciplines, highlighting the increasing demand for quality education in engineering fields.

In the realm of Electrical Engineering, the JEE Main cut-off for 2024 indicated an opening rank of 12341 and a closing rank of 20154 for HS candidates, while OS candidates had their ranks set at 12167 and 16133. Mechanical Engineering also showcased a competitive environment, with HS candidates facing opening and closing ranks of 8622 and 22753, and OS candidates at 1737 and 19600.

As the cut-offs are anticipated, students who took the JEE Main 2025 examination are also awaiting the release of the answer key. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to publish the answer key on April 11, 2025, allowing candidates to assess their performance. The JEE Main exam was conducted from April 2 to April 9 for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and on April 9 for Paper 2 (BArch and BPlan).

Students can access the answer key by logging into the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. They will need to enter their login credentials to view and download the answer key, which will be crucial for calculating their expected scores.

For those who find discrepancies in the provisional answer key, there is an option to raise objections by paying a fee per question. The NTA will review these objections and make necessary revisions based on the feedback from subject experts. This process ensures that the evaluation is fair and accurate, reflecting the true performance of the candidates.

Meanwhile, in Bengaluru, Arjunaa Academy for Achievers recently celebrated the remarkable achievements of its students in the JEE Main January 2025 attempt. The academy recognized high achievers, including Mithil, who scored in the top percentile at 99.05%, and other notable students like Hemant (98.31%), Shreesha (97.87%), Lakshmi (97.67%), Aditi (95.66%), Prateek (95.30%), and Milind (93.495%).

The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the students, marking a significant transition as they prepare to embark on their next academic journey. Shreesha S Rao, who achieved a 97.87%ile, expressed her aspirations, stating, “I decided that I want to secure a place in a good college like IIT for engineering as I was keen about robotics and computer electronics and hence the JEE exam.”

Hareesh P K, CEO and Founder of Arjunaa Academy, reflected on the collective journey of the students and faculty, emphasizing the importance of the learning experience they shared. “Now is the time that the journey of meeting each day, interacting, teaching, and gaining knowledge will come to an end. Nonetheless, we look forward to continuing to have an association with each one of them because we have spent a noteworthy formative part of their lives together.”

With the JEE Main cut-offs and answer keys on the horizon, aspiring engineers are bracing themselves for a pivotal moment in their educational paths. The competition is fierce, but for many, the journey is just beginning. As they navigate the challenges ahead, institutions like NIT Delhi and academies such as Arjunaa Academy continue to play a crucial role in shaping the future of engineering in India.
