Meanwhile, Shigemitsu Iide, 61, who leads the local Communist Party, has taken a starkly different stance by criticizing the current administration. Iide's platform calls for increased attentiveness to citizen concerns, stating, "The current administration does not listen to citizens' voices enough." Iide emphasizes the need for reform, particularly addressing issues like the overcrowding of after-school clubs and the necessity of adequately responding to community needs.
