On March 3, 2025, Nguyễn Thị Ánh Lan was officially announced as the new Chairperson of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council. Phó Trưởng ban Tổ chức Tỉnh ủy Vũ Minh Tâm presented the decision to appoint Lan following her previous role as the Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. Her transition is part of the Provincial Party Committee's strategy to align leadership roles according to the Party's directives and the implementation of Resolution 18, which seeks to boost overall governance and cooperation within local councils.
Đặng Ngọc Huy, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ngai, expressed his congratulations to Lan during the meeting. Huy emphasized the imperative nature of this role within the organization, stating, "Việc sắp xếp, điều động cán bộ là thực hiện theo yêu cầu của Ban chỉ đạo về tổng kết thực hiện Nghị quyết 18," which translates to, "The rearrangement and transfer of officials is being carried out according to the requirements of the Steering Committee for summarizing the implementation of Resolution 18."
Huy highlighted the significance of the Provincial Workers' Union (LĐLĐ) as a fundamental institution for gathering labor workers and building up the workforce. He praised the council's past performances, which have contributed positively to labor relations and community welfare over the years, underlining their role as effective facilitators noted by the Central Vietnam Trade Union and the Provincial Party Committee.
