Nghe An Province Restructures Party Organizations Ahead Of Congress

The Second Party Congress on February 28 focuses on improving grassroots structures and preparing for upcoming meetings.

Nghe An Province recently conducted its Second Party Congress meeting, during which significant decisions were made to restructure the local organizations of the Party. On February 28, 2025, the Provincial Party Committee convened to discuss plans aimed at enhancing the organizational capabilities of grassroots Party structures and preparing for future congressional meetings.

The meeting was characterized by discussions surrounding the effective management and reorganization of these Party organizations. Following the directives from the Central Party, the Provincial People's Committee reached consensus on dissolving 67 current organizations under the existing Provincial People's Party Committee framework. Subsequently, 59 new organizations are set to be established to align with contemporary needs and strategies.

Sửa chành, as a member of the provincial committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, stressed the need for reconsolidation of Party structures and ordered the implementation of resolutions signed by the Party’s Politburo. This restructuring aims not only to align the existing organizations with strategic goals but also to strengthen the effectiveness of grassroots operations.

During the meeting, it was underscored how this approach significantly contributes to the overarching goals outlined for the upcoming Party Congress, set to occur at various levels, including the Provincial Conference scheduled for August 2025.

Le Hong Vinh, also Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chair of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the necessity of prompt and precise execution of the decisions made. "We need to closely adhere to the instructions from the Politburo to facilitate effective management of grassroots meetings slated for March 2025 and another major Party Congress for the tenure of 2025 to 2030," he noted.

The upcoming congress is expected to see 300 delegates representing approximately 7,355 Party members across the committee. This active participation is intended to not only air grievances but also to consolidate collective perspectives on pressing issues.

Preparatory work remains pivotal, and the committee has tasked relevant bodies to compile comprehensive content to equip Permanent Party Committee leaders with the necessary information to issue guidelines compliant with established norms.

Overall, the restructuring of grassroots Party organizations and the careful planning for the forthcoming congress exemplify Nghe An Province’s commitment to adapting its Party framework to meet contemporary challenges and needs.
