These celebrations promise to unite communities, offering music, culture, and camaraderie as they move from one year to the next.

One of the standout celebrations will occur on the Revolution Square in Vologda. Mayor Andrey Nakroshaev has unveiled an exciting agenda for the night featuring festivities starting at 10:00 PM. The program will kick off with the dance floor event titled “The Hottest Winter Hit,” followed by the “Frosty Cocktail” musical marathon at 11:00 PM. This segment will showcase performances from local artists and special guests from St. Petersburg. The highlight of the evening awaits at midnight when President Vladimir Putin will deliver his annual New Year’s address to the nation. Following his speech, the celebrations will continue with performances until the early hours of January 1, 2025, wrapping up with awe-inspiring fire shows.
Mayor Nakroshaev noted, "Follow the public order will be monitored by police, and entrance to the square will only be permitted through security checkpoints starting at 8:00 PM." According to the plans, attendees can indulge their taste buds with food from various stalls offering baked goods, burgers, hot dogs, beverages, and warming tea throughout the night. The evening will also make commuting easy, as public transport will be free on several routes for those heading home after the festivities.
