Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has rolled out the new OBD2B-compliant version of the Activa 125, introducing refreshed colors and sophisticated features. With prices starting at Rs. 94,422 (ex-showroom Delhi), the updated Activa 125 enhances the riding experience significantly. At its core is the 123.92cc single-cylinder PGM-Fi engine, now compliant with OBD2B, delivering 6.20 kW of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. An advanced idling stop system boosts fuel efficiency, which is music to the ears of environmentally conscious riders.
Among the exciting features, the Activa 125 offers a new 4.2-inch TFT display, integrated with Bluetooth connectivity. This interoperability with the Honda RoadSync app enables real-time navigation and call/message alerts—a combination that's incredibly versatile for today's riders. The scooter is available with six vibrant color options including Pearl Igneous Black and Rebel Red Metallic. Tsutsumu Otani, the Managing Director of HMSI, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, "With advanced features like TFT display & Bluetooth connectivity ... we aim to redefine the riding experience for customers.”
Meanwhile, luxury carmaker Range Rover has commenced sales for its 2025 locally manufactured Range Rover Sport. This vehicle, available in both 3.0l Petrol Dynamic HSE and 3.0l Diesel Dynamic HSE variants, is built on the cutting-edge MLA-Flex platform, promising superior performance and efficiency. Inside, the new Range Rover Sport showcases semi-aniline leather seats and features like massage front seats, along with illuminated elements ensuring unrivaled comfort.
Rajan Amba, Managing Director of JLR India, highlighted the new features: “With the introduction of new features such as perforated semi-aniline leather seats, massage front seats and head-up display, our discerning clients will get elevated comfort and technology.” The new model begins at ₹1.45 Cr (ex-showroom), with five color options, including the sleek Santorini Black and stunning Giola Green.
Scheduled from January 17 to 22, 2025, the second edition of the Bharat Mobility Expo, promises to be India’s largest automotive event.
