New Stage Play 'GeGeGe No Kitaro 2025' Set For August

The stage play 'GeGeGe no Kitaro 2025' is set to captivate audiences this August in Tokyo and Osaka, featuring a fresh storyline and a star-studded cast.

The main visual for the highly anticipated stage play 'GeGeGe no Kitaro 2025' has been unveiled, generating excitement among fans. Scheduled for performances from August 2 to August 16, 2025, at the Meiji-za in Tokyo, and from August 21 to August 25, 2025, at the Shin Kabuki-za in Osaka, this production marks a significant return of the beloved franchise. It commemorates the 10th anniversary of the death of Shigeru Mizuki, the original creator of 'GeGeGe no Kitaro.'

This new installment follows Kitaro as he battles a formidable vampire army from the West, aiming for world domination. The narrative promises to blend thrilling action with the unique charm that has made 'GeGeGe no Kitaro' a household name.

The cast features notable talents including Keisuke Araki as Kitaro, Akifu Ohtaka as Nezumi Otoko, and Sumire Uesaka as Neko Musume. Joining them are Eiji Takigawa, who takes on the role of the vampire Elite, and Ryota Hiroyasu, portraying the popular influencer Musashi P. Ririka Fumiya plays a mysterious woman who holds the key to the story, while Yuko Asano will embody Camilla, Kitaro's greatest adversary in this production.

Adding to the excitement, the production has announced new cast members Mitsuhiro Nagatomo, known for his comedic flair in the duo FLOW, and Hiroya Sunakawa, who has made a name for himself through various stage performances and his debut in 'Kamen Rider Zero-One.'
