New Samurai Mac Burger Featuring Egg And Bacon Launching Soon

McDonald's adds a mouthwatering new option to its popular burger lineup, starting March 26, 2025.

McDonald’s is set to introduce a new addition to its popular Samurai Mac burger lineup with the launch of the “Smoked Oil-style Egg Bacon Thick Beef”. This new item, which aims to tantalize taste buds, will officially make its debut on March 26, 2025, priced at 570 yen.

Launched in April 2020, the Samurai Mac series is designed to satisfy adult palates with a hearty dining choice. The series is characterized by its unique sesame seed buns paired with 100% beef patties, a savory smoked oil-style sauce featuring garlic and onions, making for a flavor-packed burger experience. The currently offered item, the 'Smoked Oil-style Double Thick Beef”, has quickly become a favorite, priced at 580 yen.

The new “Smoked Oil-style Egg Bacon Thick Beef” takes it a notch higher. Featuring a thick 100% beef patty layered with fluffy egg, crispy lettuce, succulent smoked bacon, and rich white cheddar cheese, it promises a delightful crunch and an explosion of flavors. This new entry will replace the existing 'Smoked Oil-style Bacon Tomato Thick Beef', which will be removed from the menu as of March 25, 2025.

Moreover, the Samurai Mac series is seeing its first menu renewal since the original launch in April 2021. With this revamp, the sesame seed specifications have been altered to enhance the overall flavor experience, adding a twist to a familiar favorite.

The launch event for the new Samurai Mac was held on March 19, 2025, in Tokyo, where the popular comedy duo Dian appeared, expressing their enthusiasm for McDonald's and the new product. Yusuke, one half of the duo, expressed his delight while sampling the 'Smoked Oil-style Double Thick Beef,' noting the presence of two beef patties and a generous amount of cheddar cheese, commenting, "This is delicious!"

Adding a touch of charm to the event was talent Sayuri Matsumura, who took to the stage to share her love for the Samurai Mac. She noted, "McDonald’s is always there for me when I am going through a tough time" and said that their presence during stressful periods has always provided joy and comfort. "When I feel tired after rehearsal sessions or long nights of filming, McDonald's lifts my spirits with a comfort that’s unmistakable," she added.

Matsumura also highlighted how the Samurai Mac aligns perfectly with her tastes, exclaiming, "Samurai Mac is perfect for me, because I love meat!" Her enthusiastic appreciation of the burger emphasized her excitement about the new product, showcasing its appeal to the broader audience who might share her sentiments. She enthusiastically described the new product saying, "The sauce is rich and hits hard. After this taste, the balance with lettuce and egg is really intelligent!"

With sales hours for the Samurai Mac extending from 10:30 until closing (or until 4:59 the next morning at 24-hour locations), customers can enjoy this new addition at most stores nationwide. This move is not just about offering a new taste; it signals McDonald’s commitment to catering to adult customers seeking satisfying, flavorful meal options. The launch of the 'Smoked Oil-style Egg Bacon Thick Beef' signifies McDonald’s aim to keep innovating within a space that features heavily on tradition, yet focuses on the evolving tastes of its customers.

The Samurai Mac series continues to evoke warm feelings among its consumers, encouraging many to revisit or invoke new memories, serving as a reliable choice for those looking for hearty meal solutions. With this combination of nostalgia and innovation, McDonald’s seems positioned well to capture attention and appetite starting from March 26, 2025.
