New business locations are creating buzz and excitement across various communities, promising fresh offerings for eager consumers. This season, several new ventures are set to open, enhancing local dining and wellness experiences.
Firstly, Chimmelier, a popular Korean fried chicken chain hailing from Los Angeles, is gearing up for its much-anticipated grand opening on December 30 in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood of Berkeley. The restaurant will officially launch at 1823 Solano Ave, previously home to Bopshop Korean Kitchen. To celebrate its entry to the Bay Area, Chimmelier will host a soft opening party at 11 a.m., offering delicious food to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis until they sell out. For those who want some extra fun, they're also running a giveaway for two $100 gift cards, asking participants to follow their Instagram account and tag two friends.
“We’re finally coming to the Bay!” Chimmelier exclaimed on their Instagram as they shared the news. This expansion follows their initial success at their first popup event back in May, where they sold over 1,000 tickets within just two days. The new location's opening signifies not only growth for the restaurant but also the introduction of Korean culinary delights to new customers.
While Chimmelier prepares for its debut, another exciting opening is on the horizon—LUMA Medical Aesthetics, an award-winning spa, is set to open its second location at 200 Market St. in Basalt by March 2025. The original location at 823 Grand Ave., Suite 120, in Glenwood Springs, will remain operational to continue serving clients.
LUMA was founded two years ago by James and Ashley Martinez, along with Stephanie Cisneros, and has quickly gained recognition within the community, evidenced by receiving the Locals Choice Award annually since its inception. “LUMA won best day spa 2nd place our first year and voted best day spa first place our second year,” Cisneros elaborated, showcasing their rapid rise to success. The spa caters to clients of all genders and ages, emphasizing the importance of preventative care.
“Whether it is a sprinkling of botox, having body hair removed, or choosing laser treatment instead of needles for less invasive options, LUMA can treat women of any age, including teens struggling with acne,” noted Cisneros.
LUMA Medical Aesthetics offers numerous services, from minimally invasive injectables and laser treatments to more intense procedures—aimed at providing instant excellence. “One of the most appealing aspects of injectables is the instant transformation they provide,” Cisneros said, highlighting the transformative results clients can anticipate.
Meanwhile, Dragon King Hobbies, owned by Sean Paul Jones, has also made headlines as it relocates its shop from Indian River Mall to 915 17th Street - Suite #104 in Vero Beach after facing challenges from the mall's new ownership. Jones's story resonates with many entrepreneurs striving to maintain their businesses against the odds.
“Growing up, I always wanted to be a comic book artist,” Jones shared, reflecting on how his childhood passion has materialized as Dragon King Hobbies. With the new space, Jones intends to cultivate community engagement and provide a welcoming atmosphere for celebrating different life moments.
“We just booked our first birthday party,” he excitedly added, signaling hope and momentum for the new venture.
Each of these new locations—Chimmelier, LUMA Medical Aesthetics, and Dragon King Hobbies—are set to infuse something special within their respective communities, demonstrating the resilience and creativity of local entrepreneurs. The excitement extends beyond their product offerings; their narratives highlight the dedication and passion behind their brands, encouraging personal connections with community members.
Consumer anticipation builds as these businesses prepare to open their doors, inviting everyone to experience what they have to offer. With fresh concepts and new opportunities sprouting up, the local business scene is as vibrant as ever.
