The 2025 Good Morning America Summer Concert Series launches with NKOTB’s final Times Square studio performance, featuring a star-studded lineup through August in a new downtown Manhattan studio

Music lovers woke up to an electrifying start on June 12, 2025, as the iconic 1980s boy band New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) kicked off the much-anticipated 2025 Good Morning America (GMA) Summer Concert Series. Their performance was not just a nostalgic treat but also a historic moment, marking the final concert ever held inside the GMA Times Square studio after 26 years. This milestone event was broadcast live from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET on ABC, captivating audiences nationwide.

NKOTB, comprising brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight alongside Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood, delivered a set filled with classic hits, including the fan favorite "You Got It (The Right Stuff)." The band’s Instagram announcement on June 9 generated a wave of excitement among fans, with comments like "And so our summer of NKOTB officially begins" and "Best way to kickoff the concert series! Can’t wait!!!" capturing the enthusiasm surrounding their appearance.

The 2025 GMA Summer Concert Series promises to be a star-studded lineup, continuing beyond NKOTB’s historic send-off. On July 18, 2025, rapper BIA and multiplatinum-selling artist G-Eazy will perform live at Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse, setting the stage ahead of the WNBA All-Star Game. Their energetic shows are expected to bring a fresh vibe to the series, expanding its reach beyond New York City.

Following these performances, the series moves to GMA’s brand-new, state-of-the-art downtown Manhattan studio, where a diverse array of artists will take the stage throughout August. Colombian Latin GRAMMY-nominated artist Manuel Turizo is slated to perform on August 1, bringing his signature sound to the morning show. The rock scene will be represented by multiplatinum band Good Charlotte on August 8, while Icelandic Chinese GRAMMY Award-winning composer and artist Laufey will enchant audiences on August 15.

Adding to the eclectic mix, eight-time GRAMMY® Award winner Gloria Estefan is scheduled for August 22, followed by country superstar Dierks Bentley on August 27. The series rounds out on August 29 with a performance by multiplatinum R&B trailblazer and actress Teyana Taylor, promising an exciting close to the summer concerts.

Simone Swink, senior executive producer of Good Morning America, expressed her enthusiasm about this year’s series, stating, "We’re thrilled to host this year’s Summer Concert Series in our brand-new, state-of-the-art studio. It’s an exciting chapter for us, and we can’t wait to welcome incredible artists and our viewers into our home, right here in the heart of downtown Manhattan." Her words underscore the significance of the transition from the Times Square studio to the new venue, symbolizing a fresh era for the program.

Good Morning America itself is a powerhouse in morning television, an Emmy® Award-winning news program anchored by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan, with Ginger Zee serving as chief meteorologist. The show airs live Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. EDT on ABC, providing a perfect platform for these live musical performances.

The 2025 Summer Concert Series is sponsored by Massage Envy, a national franchisor based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Founded in 2002, Massage Envy has grown to over 1,000 franchise locations across 49 states, delivering more than 225 million skin care and massage services. Their sponsorship highlights the brand’s commitment to wellness and community engagement, aligning well with the uplifting spirit of the concert series.
