A New Comedy Series Debuts Featuring Talented Russian Actors

The TNT channel has launched its latest comedy series, "Pozhit kak lyudi," which tells the story of an unfortunate family that unexpectedly finds themselves living in a billionaire's luxurious mansion. The show, which premiered at 20:30 on April 16, 2025, features a mix of established actors and rising stars, including Anna Ardova, Yan Tsapnik, Nika Vigel, and Olga Kovaleva.

In this new series, the main character, Stepan Grachev, portrayed by an emerging talent, is a middle manager who is given the chance to live out his dreams. His boss entrusts him with the care of a lavish mansion during a vacation, but the idyllic scenario quickly unravels when Stepan's entire family arrives at the house. The cast includes his fashionista sister, a bully brother, a manicurist mother, and a con artist father, turning his dream into a chaotic reality.

Olga Kovaleva, known as the "queen of episodes," also took part in the filming process. She shared her experiences and insights about her role in the series. "Casting started last summer, and I auditioned alongside 30 other candidates for one of the main roles, the mother of Stepan. Initially, I thought the director wasn't interested in me, but I was later informed that I had been cast as a secondary, yet vibrant character—the mother’s friend," she explained.

Filming began in the autumn at a luxurious mansion located in Podmoskovye, which Kovaleva described as being situated in a "village of millionaires." Her character is set to appear in the second episode, where she shares a pool scene that posed a unique challenge. "We had to film in early October, and the water was freezing! Despite the cold, we maintained a positive attitude and had a lot of fun," she recalled.

Another memorable moment on set involved a peacock, which was brought in for a scene that highlighted the mansion's opulence. "The peacock was only there for a few hours, but it left a lasting impression. I even managed to keep one of its beautiful feathers, which now sits in a vase on my table as a reminder of the wonderful people I worked with," Kovaleva added.

Meanwhile, Nika Vigel, who plays the role of Sveta, expressed her thoughts on the series, stating, "This project is about love for family. It emphasizes the importance of asking for help and supporting loved ones, no matter what. We all have our imperfections, but family is the only group that accepts us as we are."

The show, filled with absurd yet touching events, aims to resonate with viewers by exploring themes of familial love and the chaos that often accompanies it. As Stepan grapples with his new reality, he must navigate the challenges posed by his quirky family while also trying to preserve the luxurious property entrusted to him.

With its blend of humor and heartfelt moments, "Pozhit kak lyudi" is poised to capture the hearts of audiences across Russia. The series not only showcases the comedic talents of its cast but also highlights the importance of family bonds, no matter how dysfunctional they may seem.

As the series unfolds, viewers can expect to see how Stepan manages to balance his aspirations with the unexpected chaos brought on by his family. The show's unique premise and engaging characters promise to deliver both laughter and relatable moments that many families experience.

In summary, "Pozhit kak lyudi" is more than just a comedy; it offers a reflection on family dynamics and the absurdities of life, making it a must-watch for those seeking both entertainment and a deeper understanding of familial relationships.

With Olga Kovaleva celebrating her 200th role in this series, she remains optimistic about her future in acting, stating, "I hope to add more roles soon!" Her enthusiasm, along with the rest of the cast, sets a positive tone for the show as it embarks on its journey to entertain audiences.
