London’s iconic Kit Kat Club is set to welcome new talent as the beloved production of CABARET gears up for exciting changes. Starting February 3, 2025, the Prologue Company will be joined by five fresh faces: James Hastings, Dak Mashava, Nethra Menon, Oluwatosin Omotosho, and Kristin Wei Wong. These newcomers will collaborate with existing stars Rachel Benson, Ami Benton, Joseph Hardy, Andrew Linnie, Jack William Parry, and Jazmyn Raikes, who will also continue captivating the audience.
Recently, CABARET celebrated the milestone of its 1000th performance at the KIT KAT CLUB, and with tickets booked until October 4, 2025, the show continues to draw attention and applause. Featuring award-winning performers, Billy Porter takes on the pivotal role of The Emcee, with double Olivier award nominee Marisha Wallace portraying Sally Bowles. Joining them from January 28 is Daniel Bowerbank as Clifford Bradshaw, Vivien Parry as Fraulein Schneider, and Fenton Gray as Herr Schultz among others; this ensemble is rounded out by numerous talented ensemble members including Fred Haig as Ernst Ludwig and Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie.
CABARET, which initially opened at the Kit Kat Club back in late 2021, is renowned for transforming one of London’s most celebrated theatres. Under the direction of Rebecca Frecknall, the production boasts innovative set and costume designs by Tom Scutt, alongside choreography from Julia Cheng. The show’s unforgettable score features classic songs like "Wilkommen," "Don't Tell Mama," "Mein Herr," and the titular anthem "Cabaret," composed by John Kander with lyrics by Fred Ebb from the book by Joe Masteroff.
Robust musical supervision is provided by Jennifer Whyte, with Ben van Tienen leading musical direction, all contributing to the show's vibrant atmosphere. To fully immerse guests, the theatre features pre-show entertainment and dining, inviting audience members to socialize within the Kit Kat Club environment before the highlight of the evening—the performance itself.
For audiences eager to catch the latest edition of CABARET, it’s worth noting the performance schedule for Marisha Wallace, the current Sally Bowles, as she will not appear on select dates including Thursday, February 6, and throughout various other performances until May 2025. During her absence, alternate Sally Bowles, Anne-Marie Wojna, will take the stage, ensuring every night remains enchanting.
Across the pond, CABARET is also thriving on Broadway, as Adam Lambert and the talented Auli'i Cravalho make their highly anticipated debuts. Upcoming changes there will introduce Eva Noblezada and Orville Peck as new leads, illustrating the show’s continued evolution as it captivates audiences worldwide.
With such dynamic developments, the Kit Kat Club at the West End promises to remain one of the hottest spots for theatre lovers as it leads the charge of musical creativity. The excitement surrounding the new cast members and the vibrant performances offers fans both new and returning the chance to experience the allure of CABARET at its finest.
