NEET UG 2025 Registration Open Until March 7

Candidates urged to register early to avoid last-minute complications and secure their exam slots.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened registrations for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025, advising aspiring medical students to complete their applications before the final deadline of March 7, 2025.

The registration process commenced on February 7, 2025, and it is highly recommended for candidates to finalize their applications early to avoid any last-minute complications. The advisory issued by the NTA highlights, "The registration process for NEET UG 2025 commenced on February 7, 2025, and will close on March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM. Candidates are advised to complete the process at the earliest to avoid any last-minute difficulties."

The NEET UG 2025 examination is scheduled for May 4, 2025, held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). This year, the agency plans to fill a total of 1,08,940 MBBS seats through this single-largest medical entrance examination, which is recognized across India for aspiring medical professionals.

Recently, major changes were introduced for the NEET UG 2025 following allegations of malpractice from the previous year’s exam. Although there was consideration for testing changes such as shifting to new test methods or venues, the NTA confirmed it would proceed with conducting the exam in the traditional pen-and-paper format.

To go through the registration process, candidates must apply online at the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Once on the site, individuals can access the registration link, where they will need to provide basic personal information and educational qualifications. After entering these details, candidates will be able to upload necessary documents.

The key dates for the NEET UG 2025 are as follows:

Application fees for NEET UG 2025 vary by candidate classification. For general candidates, the fee is set at Rs 1,700, whereas general-EWS and OBC-NCL candidates will pay Rs 1,600. SC, ST, PwBD, and Third Gender candidates will be charged Rs 1,000 for examinations held within India, and for applicants located outside of India, the fee is Rs 9,500.

Once registration closes, the NTA will provide applicants with the opportunity to make necessary corrections to their submitted applications from March 9 to March 11, 2025. This correction facility is pivotal for candidates who may have made errors during their registration.

The City Intimation Slips, which inform candidates of their examination center, will be available by April 26, 2025, followed closely by the release of the admit card on May 1, 2025, allowing candidates to prepare adequately for the examination.
