On the other side of the country, the mood was similarly charged at Kagoshima University, where students were spotted reviewing maps and getting acclimated to their examination environment. “It feels like the exams are finally starting, which heightens the sense of gravity surrounding the situation,” remarked one student pursuing veterinary medicine. Another added, “I want to give it my all with everything I've worked for up till now.” The average admission ratio at Kagoshima University for this upcoming exam period is reported to be 3.0, with 3,524 students competing for 1,181 spots—a clear indicator of increased competition compared to previous years.
The veterinary department saw the most significant competition, exhibiting a staggering ratio of 10.1, followed closely by the dental department at 6.9 and the medical faculty at 4.3. Just like at Aomori, students at Kagoshima University can expect the results to be announced on March 7.
