The company has formally requested Brazil’s Supreme Court to lift the ban imposed on it, following claims of compliance with local court orders aimed at tackling the rampant spread of false information.
The situation unfolded when Brazil's Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered the platform to halt operations due to its failure to sufficiently combat misinformation. The decision, made at the end of August, was part of wider efforts to curb disinformation within the country, particularly as the nation geared up for significant political events.
