MP Board Results 2025 Show Significant Improvement

Class 10 and 12 results announced with over 76% passing rate

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has officially announced the results for the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations on May 6, 2025. The results were declared during a press conference held by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at 10 AM, marking the end of a long wait for approximately 16.5 lakh students who appeared for these crucial exams.

Students can access their results on the official websites: mpbse.nic.in, mpresults.nic.in, and mpbse.mponline.gov.in. To check their scorecards, students will need to enter their roll number and application number. The results can also be viewed through the MPBSE mobile app and the Digilocker platform.

This year, the Class 10 results recorded a pass percentage of 76.22%, while the Class 12 results saw a slightly lower pass percentage of 74.48%. This marks a significant improvement compared to the previous year's results, which were 58.10% for Class 10 and 64.49% for Class 12.

Among the standout performers, Prajna Jaiswal from Singrauli topped the Class 10 examinations by scoring a perfect 500 out of 500 marks. In the Class 12 examinations, Priyal Dwivedi from Satna achieved the highest score with 492 marks. The merit list for Class 10 included 212 students, comprising 144 girls and 68 boys, highlighting the impressive performance of female students.

For students who did not achieve the minimum required marks of 33% to pass, the board has provided an opportunity to sit for compartment exams. These will be conducted in July, allowing students to improve their scores in failed subjects. Additionally, students dissatisfied with their results can apply for re-evaluation through the board's website.

The MPBSE conducted the board exams from February to March 2025, with the Class 10 exams taking place from February 27 to March 19, and the Class 12 exams from February 25 to March 25. The announcement of results was highly anticipated, with many students feeling the pressure as the date approached.

In a notable shift under the National Education Policy 2020, the MPBSE has also announced plans to conduct examinations twice a year, starting next year. This change aims to provide students with more opportunities to succeed and reduce the pressure of a single annual examination.

This year, the performance of government schools has notably surpassed that of private institutions, reflecting a positive trend in public education standards. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the need for continuous improvement in educational outcomes and expressed pride in the achievements of students.

As students look towards their futures, they have various paths to explore based on their results. Those who have successfully cleared their Class 12 exams can consider enrolling in undergraduate programs in Science, Commerce, or Arts, while others may opt for vocational training or diploma courses.

In summary, the MP Board results for 2025 have shown a marked improvement over previous years, with government schools leading the way in performance. The introduction of twice-yearly examinations is set to further enhance student opportunities and outcomes in the coming years.
