MP Board Class 5 And 8 Results Released With High Pass Rates

Madhya Pradesh students celebrate impressive results as pass percentages rise in 2025 exams

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has officially announced the results for Class 5 and Class 8 students, marking a significant moment for over 22 lakh students across the state. The results were released on March 28, 2025, at 1 PM, and students can access their scores on the official website, rskmp.in.

This year, the pass percentage for Class 5 stands impressively at 92.70%, while Class 8 has recorded a pass rate of 90.02%. These results reflect a slight improvement compared to previous years, where the Class 5 pass percentage was 90.97% in 2024 and 87.71% for Class 8.

To check their results, students must visit rskmp.in/result.aspx, where they will need to enter their roll number and other required credentials. The results will display on their screens, allowing them to download and print their scorecards for future reference.

In the Class 5 examinations, a total of 11,17,961 students participated, with 10,36,368 successfully passing. Among these, government schools achieved a pass percentage of 93.24%, while private schools recorded 91.99%. In contrast, students from madrasa schools had a pass percentage of 76.83%.

For Class 8, the statistics are similarly encouraging. Out of 11,68,866 students, 10,52,256 passed, leading to a notable pass percentage of 90.02%. Government schools had a pass rate of 89.13%, while private schools outperformed them with 91.73%. However, students from madrasa schools faced challenges, achieving a pass percentage of only 67.72%.

The results also highlighted gender performance disparities. In Class 5, the pass percentage for girls was 94.12%, significantly higher than the 91.38% for boys. Similarly, in Class 8, girls achieved a pass rate of 91.72% compared to boys at 88.41%.

Students who are not satisfied with their results can apply for re-totalling from April 3 to April 17, 2025. This process allows them to request a review of their answer sheets for any discrepancies in scoring. The re-totalling applications must be submitted through their respective schools.

The MP Board exams for both classes were conducted from February 24 to March 5, 2025, with a total of 322 evaluation centers established across the state to facilitate the assessment of over 22 lakh answer sheets. More than 119,000 evaluators were appointed to ensure a smooth evaluation process.

In a notable shift from previous years, where students were often promoted without examination, this year’s results reflect a return to a more rigorous assessment approach. Students who fail to achieve at least 33% in any subject will have the opportunity to sit for compartment exams, while those failing in more than two subjects will need to repeat the entire academic year.

The announcement of the results has generated a wave of excitement and anxiety among students and parents alike, as they eagerly await to see how their hard work has paid off. The School Education Department has confirmed that the results were made available earlier than last year, allowing students to transition smoothly into the new academic session starting April 1, 2025.

Overall, the MP Board Class 5 and 8 results for 2025 not only showcase the academic achievements of students but also highlight the ongoing improvements in educational standards within the state. As the education department continues to focus on enhancing the quality of education, the results serve as a testament to the efforts of students, teachers, and educational institutions alike.
