Morgan Wallen Makes History With Two Concerts At Camp Randall Stadium

Summer shows set to mark first live music events at the venue since 1997, enhancing Madison's cultural scene.

MADISON, Wis. – Country superstar Morgan Wallen is set to make history this summer as he brings his much-anticipated "I'm the Problem Tour 2025" to Camp Randall Stadium, home of the Wisconsin Badgers. Originally slated for June 28, Wallen's high-demand concerts will now feature not just one but two performances at the iconic venue, with the second night added due to overwhelming ticket requests.

The additional show on June 29 marks Wallen as the first-ever artist to headline back-to-back concerts at Camp Randall, which last hosted live music events nearly three decades ago. Famous for hosting legendary acts such as The Rolling Stones and U2, the stadium has not seen concerts since 1997. This comeback to live music signifies exciting new chapters for the venue, recently bolstered by approvals for alcohol sales during general seating.

Joining Wallen for both nights are special guests Miranda Lambert and Ella Langley, adding star power to the already-anticipated performances. Lambert, well-known for her powerful vocals and numerous awards, alongside rising star Langley, is expected to add to the vibrant atmosphere at this historic gathering.

The state manager at Camp Randall described Wallen's tour, stating: "Due to high demand, Wallen has added a second consecutive show, confirming it's evident the fans are excited to experience live music again at this venue." The artist presale opens on January 30, giving fans the first chance to snag tickets for either night before the general sale opens on January 31.

Catering to approximately 76,000 fans per night, these concerts could potentially draw nearly 150,000 attendees over the course of the two-day event. The tourism and hospitality industries look forward to the economic boost these concerts will bring to Madison, following the national trend of concerts helping local economies.

Wallen's "I'm the Problem Tour" also serves to promote his forthcoming fourth studio album, which includes tracks like "Lies, Lies, Lies" and the title track set to release tonight. The album follows the fantastic success of his previous work, "One Thing At A Time," which dominated the Billboard 200 for 19 weeks and produced multiple chart-topping singles. This remarkable success has solidified Wallen's reputation as one of the biggest names not just in country music but across all genres.

Notably, the prospect of Wallen's concerts has reignited excitement surrounding Camp Randall Stadium as not only a premier sporting venue but as a vibrant concert location, with organizers hoping to attract more acts like Coldplay, who are confirmed to perform on July 19, 2025, as part of their own tour.

With the revival of concerts at this historic venue, fans can't help but wonder if more major live performances will follow. Wallen's concerts stand as symbolic not just of his rise within the music industry but also as contributions to reviving Madison's cultural and entertainment scene. It welcomes the community back to enjoying live music after years without events at this scale.

It’s set to be one of the summer highlights, as the music-loving fans eagerly await the chance to belt out Wallen's biggest hits alongside Lambert and Langley, marking unforgettable nights under the stars at Camp Randall Stadium. Excitement is palpable, and anticipation grows as the dates draw nearer, signaling not only Wallen's return to the spotlight but also Camp Randall's rebirth as one of Wisconsin's top concert venues.
