Modi To Release 19th PM-KISAN Installment For Farmers

This financial aid aims to support small-scale farmers and agriculture sustainability as the government continues its commitment to rural welfare.

The Indian government is set to release the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, scheduled for February 24, 2025. This financial assistance is aimed at uplifting the lives of small and marginal farmers across the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially announce the release during his visit to Bhagalpur, Bihar, where he is expected to address around 500,000 farmers gathered for the occasion. Previously, the scheme has provided substantial support, with more than 11 crore farmers benefiting through 18 installments, totaling ₹6000 per year distributed in three installments of ₹2000.

The PM-KISAN scheme was initiated to bolster the financial conditions of farmers struggling with agricultural costs and financial burdens. Farmers eligible for this scheme must own cultivable land and not fall under specific disqualified categories, including income taxpayers and institutional landowners.

Eligible farmer households can find details about their beneficiary status by visiting the official PM-KISAN website. The process includes selecting their state, district, and village to verify their name on the beneficiary list.

If farmers have recently applied for the next installment, they should also check their application status after entering their registration details. Those who cannot find their names listed can reach out to the District Level Grievance Redressal Monitoring Committee for assistance or reapply through the official portal.

To receive the installment, beneficiaries must complete the mandatory e-KYC process. Multiple authentication methods are available: OTP-based e-KYC can be done online or through the PM Kisan Mobile App, biometric verification can be completed at Common Service Centres, and face authentication is also offered on the app.

Farmers must keep their details updated to prevent payment delays. They also have the option to voluntarily surrender their PM-Kisan benefits if they realize they no longer meet eligibility criteria.

This initiative not only works toward stabilizing farmers' incomes but also spurs sustainable agricultural practices throughout the nation. With the upcoming 19th installment, it's evident the government is committed to supporting the agricultural sector and its workers.

For those expecting the funds, it’s important to check their bank accounts on February 24 to confirm the direct transfer. The continuous flow of assistance helps avert reliance on loans and ensures farmers have adequate resources for their household and agricultural needs.

With the PM-KISAN scheme, the government aims to empower farmers financially, helping them to lead peaceful lives and reducing their dependence on informal borrowing.

Farmers interested in the details of this scheme or verifying their eligibility should visit the PM-KISAN official site at https://pmkisan.gov.in/. This initiative plays a pivotal role not only for individual household incomes but also contributes to the larger agricultural ecosystem of India.
