Mitsubishi Launches All-New XForce HEV In Thailand

The compact SUV features advanced hybrid technology and a host of comfort and safety features.

On March 20, 2025, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand launched the all-new Mitsubishi xForce HEV, a compact SUV that marks the brand's latest entry into the hybrid market. This model, which first debuted in August 2023 in Indonesia, is being introduced in Thailand as a critical part of Mitsubishi's global strategy to tap into the growing hybrid vehicle segment.

Produced at Mitsubishi's Thailand plant, the xForce HEV is expected to enhance the lineup of full hybrids, building upon the success of models like the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV that was launched in February 2025. The xForce HEV features a combination of modern design and advanced hybrid technology, making it an appealing option for consumers looking for environmentally friendly yet powerful vehicles.

Mr. Ryoichi Inaba, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., emphasized the significance of local production. “This is the first time the all-new Mitsubishi xForce HEV has received our latest full-hybrid drive system. We take pride in producing it in Thailand at our Laem Chabang plant. We spent months testing this vehicle, covering over 100,000 kilometers throughout Thailand in the past year to assess its durability and on-road performance,” he said. The extensive testing involved gathering insights and feedback that were integrated into the vehicle's development phase.

Designed with a focus on stability, safety, and user comfort, the xForce HEV offers seven driving modes (7-Drive Mode) and employs Active Yaw Control (AYC) for unparalleled performance. The innovative AYC system calculates the torque distribution and braking power to each wheel, ensuring optimal balance and handling, especially during cornering.

The xForce HEV runs on a new-generation full hybrid system that combines a high-performance electric motor with a specially-designed 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve MIVEC gasoline engine. The vehicle's powertrain is equipped with a new 2-speed transaxle, offering a smooth and efficient driving experience with excellent fuel economy rated at 24.4 kilometers per liter. This efficient performance is expected to set new standards in its class.

In terms of safety, the xForce HEV is equipped with Diamond Sense safety technology, featuring Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that facilitate comprehensive 360-degree monitoring of the vehicle's surroundings using high-tech cameras and sensors. Among the standout features are a surround-view camera with distance lines, and various collision detection systems, which are aimed at enhancing both driver and passenger safety.

The interior of the xForce HEV is designed for comfort with significant dimensions that provide ample space for five passengers. The rear seats are adaptable, folding in a 40:20:40 configuration, and can recline, enhancing passenger comfort for long journeys. Comfort-enhancing details include a premium sound system developed in collaboration with Yamaha, ensuring an outstanding audio experience. Air purification systems using nanoe™ X technology contribute to a fresh cabin environment, reducing fatigue during travel.

Available in three distinct trims, the Mitsubishi xForce HEV starts at 899,000 baht for the Ignite model, with colors including White Diamond, Blade Silver, and Graphite Grey. The Ultimate model, starting at 1,039,000 baht, adds Jet Black Mica to its color palette, while the Ultimate X trim begins at 1,089,000 baht and includes options like Energetic Yellow and Spirit Red among its color choices. All these variants come with a robust warranty package of five years for the hybrid system and up to ten years for the hybrid battery.

For those keen to buy, Mitsubishi has introduced an Early Bird campaign with special benefits for bookings made by April 31, 2025. Customers who reserve a vehicle by this date and take delivery by May 31, 2025, can enjoy perks including a hotel stay gift card worth 10,000 baht and a complimentary first-year insurance policy, along with maintenance coverage for five years or 100,000 kilometers.

Additionally, competitive financing options are available starting from an interest rate of 0.99% for a 25% down payment with a 48-month installment plan. Mitsubishi aims to ensure peace of mind for customers with its extensive support network of trained technicians.

As Mitsubishi Motors Thailand gears up for the xForce HEV’s launch, interested customers can experience the vehicle at various roadshows across the country and visit the Mitsubishi Motors booth at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show.

With the introduction of the xForce HEV, Mitsubishi Motors is poised to make a significant impact in Thailand's hybrid vehicle market, combining innovative technology, safety, and design to cater to the demands of environmentally-conscious drivers.
