Mister Donut Announces Price Increase Effective March 2025

Rising costs lead to adjustments on various donuts and popular drinks.

Starting March 26, 2025, Mister Donut, operated by the Duskin Company, will raise prices on various menu items due to continuous increases in costs related to raw materials, oil prices, and logistics. The company stated these adjustments are necessary to offset rising operational expenses.

The price hike will affect all donuts and selected items. Specifically, 42 types of donuts, pies, muffins, and allergy-friendly donuts will see their prices increase by 10 yen each. For example, the popular Pon de Ring will rise from 150 yen to 160 yen, which totals 172 yen for takeout and 176 yen for eat-in customers. Other notable changes include the Old Fashioned and French Cruller, which will also increase from 150 yen to 160 yen. The Choco Fashion and Angel French will shift from 160 yen to 170 yen.

Donut pops will incur slight variations, with individual pieces going up by 1 yen, and set prices increasing by 10 to 30 yen depending on the selection. Likewise, two varieties of Taiwanese fruit tea, Taiwan Fungi Fruit Tea, will experience increases of 20 yen, raising their price to 520 yen.

Mister Donut's official announcement stated, “Due to continued increases in costs from raw material prices and logistics, we have found it necessary to undergo price adjustments.” The company has attempted to absorb some costs through internal efforts; nonetheless, they concluded it was no longer feasible to continue without adjusting prices.

The price changes will not apply to drinks, except for the Taiwan Fungi Fruit Tea, which sits outside the broader beverage category price adjustments.

To add some levity alongside the news of price increases, Mister Donut has announced new merchandise developed in collaboration with the clothing brand LEPSIM. These items, which include stylish hoodies adorned with donut illustrations and vibrant long-sleeve shirts featuring colorful donut prints, are intended to brighten customer spirits. Shoppers can find these pieces at various LEPSIM retail locations and online, with availability starting from January 10, 2025.

While the price increase may be disappointing to some loyal customers, many still express affections for the brand. ”I think I’ll still buy from them, even if prices go up,” remarked one regular customer.

All changes take effect upon the opening of stores on March 26, 2025. Affected shops include all Mister Donut locations and select MOSDO outlets.
