Duskin, the operator of Misdo (Mister Donut), has announced a price increase for its doughnut products, effective March 26, 2025. This change arises from the continuing rise in costs associated with raw materials, oil prices, and logistics expenses.
The adjustment will affect 42 various products, including popular items such as the Pon de Ring and Angel French doughnuts, with most prices rising by 10 yen. This marks the first price increase since the company undertook product renewal back in July 2024.
According to officials at Duskin, "We have continued to make efforts to absorb cost increases through internal measures, but it has become difficult to manage this on our own." Notably, the price changes will not extend to beverages, except for the Taiwanese fruit tea, which will also see slight adjustments.
This decision aims at maintaining the quality of their products and ensuring customers continue to enjoy the beloved offerings at Misdo. Although this price adjustment may be unwelcome news for some, the company stresses its commitment to delivering delicious doughnuts consistently.
All Misdo outlets, including special locations like MOSDO at Aeon Mall Hiroshima Fuchu and LalaPort Shin-Misato, will implement these new selling prices from the announced date.
With these economic pressures impacting many sectors, customers are seeing similar trends across various food and beverage locations. This reflects the broader economic climate affecting not only food prices but also the cost of living overall.
"We hope for your kind comprehension," said officials from Duskin, reminding loyal patrons of their pledge toward quality and the enjoyable experience they strive to create.
Looking forward, Misdo aims to uphold its brand slogan, "There’s Something Good at Mister Donut," and to maintain satisfaction among its clientele, even as it introduces these necessary price changes.
For customers eager to know the updated prices post-increase, detailed lists of affected products will be available at all outlets prior to the implementation date, ensuring transparency during this transition.
