Police are treating the tragic deaths of two women on Christmas Day as murder following the arrest of a 49-year-old man. Thames Valley Police have confirmed the identities of the victims as Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, both from Milton Keynes. They died at the scene of the incident reported at around 6:36 PM on December 25, 2022, at Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley.
Jazwell Brown, the accused, was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count each of possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in public and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. Following the incident, Brown was remanded and is scheduled to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court.
The aftermath of the stabbings also left two other individuals injured; both were taken to the hospital, where one man is reported to be recovering.
