Mikhail Pronin has officially stepped down from his position as the chair of the Ryazan branch of the New People Party, announcing his resignation on his Telegram channel.
Pronin, who held the position for more than six months, described his time as chair as "very interesting and eventful," highlighting the various initiatives and collaborations he engaged with during his leadership. "We refreshed our regional team, worked on improving old projects, and launched new party initiatives," he stated.
According to his message, the New People Party achieved significant results during the September elections, securing second place based on the number of mandates. Pronin noted, "Our party represented interesting and resourceful deputies who now serve the interests of their constituents." He took pride in contributing to the party's success, underscoring the work of deputies who were elected, some even holding leadership positions within local legislative bodies.
The reasons behind Pronin's departure are linked to his involvement with another significant project, which he believes aligns with his commitment to protecting entrepreneurs' rights. He clarified, "I am leaving the chair position to participate and launch this new project, which does not interfere with or contradict my work as the business ombudsman. It will, in fact, be complementary, even if not directly related."
His announcement reflects the complexity of balancing multiple roles, as he expressed, "It can be difficult to manage everything at once. At times, you have to prioritize and make choices." He indicated this new endeavor promises to be beneficial for the public, showcasing his continued dedication to societal issues, particularly those intersecting with business.
Pronin's leadership stint is particularly notable as he previously entered the spotlight of Ryazan’s political scene, being recognized as one of the top 100 influential figures within the region by the RIA Novosti news agency earlier this year.
Supporting his decision, he concluded, "The new direction is much more interesting to me, and I have confidence it will yield positive results for the community."
Following this transition, Pronin is set to focus on advocating for rights and transparency within the business sector and remains committed to promoting economic interests within his current role.
