Microsoft Unveils Exciting Xbox Game Pass May Lineup

New titles include DOOM: The Dark Ages and Revenge of the Savage Planet among twelve games arriving this month.

Microsoft has officially unveiled the first wave of titles set to join the Xbox Game Pass catalog in May 2025, promising an exciting lineup for gaming enthusiasts. With twelve new games slated for release, including notable day-one launches like DOOM: The Dark Ages and Revenge of the Savage Planet, subscribers have plenty to look forward to.

As of today, May 6, 2025, players can dive into Dredge, a unique single-player fishing adventure that blends mystery and exploration. This atmospheric title is available across Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, making it accessible to a wide audience. Microsoft describes it as a game where players can sell their catch, upgrade their boats, and dredge the depths for long-buried secrets.

The excitement continues on May 7, when several highly anticipated titles will be added to the service. Among them is Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which allows players to create their own warriors and battle alongside iconic characters like Goku and Vegeta. Joining it are Dungeons of Hinterberg, an exploration-based game set in a magical alpine village, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, an action RPG featuring rhythmic combat, and Metal Slug Tactics, a tactical version of the beloved franchise.

On May 8, the excitement ramps up with the addition of Revenge of the Savage Planet, another day-one title. This game immerses players in a corporate dystopia where they must navigate an alien world after being abandoned by their employer. Players will explore, collect upgrades, and seek vengeance in a richly crafted environment. Also launching on the same day is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, which promises an action-packed adventure featuring the beloved turtle heroes.

As the month progresses, players can look forward to the return of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 on May 13, a cooperative game that pits players against the forces of Chaos and Skaven in a thrilling four-player experience. The main event of the month, DOOM: The Dark Ages, will be available on May 15. This title serves as a prequel to the acclaimed DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, offering players an epic medieval narrative filled with dark themes and intense action.

Following closely, on May 16, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo will launch, inviting players into a papercraft adventure that explores themes of regret and redemption. Finally, the month wraps up with the addition of Firefighting Simulator: The Squad and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers on May 20, both of which promise engaging cooperative gameplay experiences.

However, as new titles are introduced, some games will be leaving the Game Pass library on May 15. Players are encouraged to purchase the following titles before they depart: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Chants of Sennaar, Dune: Spice Wars, Hauntii, and The Big Con. Subscribers can save up to 20% on these titles if they wish to keep them in their library.

With such a diverse lineup, Microsoft continues to enhance the value of its Game Pass service, catering to various gaming preferences. Whether players are looking for action-packed adventures, strategic gameplay, or immersive narratives, May 2025 is set to be an exciting month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
