Microsoft recently launched its new Surface Copilot+ PCs, integrating the innovative DeepSeek AI model to transform the personal computing experience. To utilize DeepSeek on these new devices, users must download Microsoft's AI Toolkit and install the relevant extension for Visual Studio Code. After following these steps, they can install the ‘deepseek_r1_1_5’ model, unlocking the full potential of AI applications right at their fingertips.

Looking toward the future, Microsoft plans to introduce additional DeepSeek models, including versions boasting 7-billion and 14-billion parameters. This expansion indicates the tech giant's commitment to broadening the functionality and versatility of AI on personal computing devices.
