Melpo Zarokosta Celebrates Christmas At Athens Nursing Home

Melpo Zarokosta, the celebrated Greek actress, warmly embraced the spirit of Christmas this year during her stay at the Athens Nursing Home. On December 25, Zarokosta, surrounded by friends and former colleagues, reflected on her life and career, sharing memories of her past with those around her.

"I feel very emotional. I have tasted beautiful things; I should not complain and I do not complain. Tell me, how can you live happily when your children have not succeeded in life?" Zarokosta expressed during her interview with Rena Kouvelioti from Alpha. Her words reveal not just nostalgia, but also the deep connection she feels motherhood, tangling her personal joys with her children’s achievements.

The beloved actress reminisced about the 'beautiful years' she experienced throughout her career, saying, "It was beautiful years. I had fallen in love with many of my co-stars, three of whom have passed away." During the interview, Zarokosta also complimented Kouvelioti's demeanor, noting, "You have a sweet smile, and that's a big asset, you should know." After surviving battles with health issues, including cancer, she stands as a symbol of perseverance and strength. "I was saved by early diagnosis, and this is what I tell everyone who asks. Everything happened immediately; I was operated on the next day. I got well and have been healthy for 20 years now, thank God," she recalled, encouraging others to prioritize their health.

The actress’s candidness, mixed with her wisdom and lively spirit, paints the picture of someone who has both faced and embraced life’s challenges. At the Athens Nursing Home, her presence not only added brightness to the holiday celebration but also offered inspiration to those around her, sharing lessons not just of her triumphs, but also of her humanity.
