McDonald's Japan Unveils Detective Conan Collaboration Menu

The popular Chicken Tatsuta series returns with new flavors and exciting promotions.

McDonald's Japan is set to launch an exciting collaboration with the beloved anime series "Detective Conan," featuring a new menu centered around the popular "Chicken Tatsuta" starting April 16, 2025. This limited-time offering promises to delight fans and food enthusiasts alike with a variety of new and returning items.

The highlight of this collaboration is the introduction of the "Tartar Nanban Chicken Tatsuta," a new burger that incorporates a unique blend of flavors. In addition to this new item, the classic "Chicken Tatsuta" will also be available for a limited time. The Chicken Tatsuta has been a staple of McDonald's Japan since its debut in 1991 and has remained a customer favorite for over three decades.

As part of the menu expansion, McDonald's will also reintroduce the "Gohan Chicken Tatsuta Tartar Nanban" and the revived "Gohan Chicken Tatsuta," both of which will be available starting at 5:00 PM. These items feature rice buns made from 100% domestic rice, offering a distinct twist on the traditional burger experience.

To complement the new menu, McDonald's will introduce a refreshing drink option: the "McFizz/McFloat Setouchi Lemon Yogurt Flavor." This drink will feature the zesty taste of Setouchi lemons combined with yogurt, creating a light and fruity beverage perfect for the spring season.

In addition to the new menu items, a captivating TV commercial featuring Detective Conan will begin airing on April 15, 2025. The "Tatsuta and Conan are back" campaign runs from April 10, 2025, at 7:30 AM to 11:59 PM, where participants can reply to a designated post with the hashtag to enter a lottery for a chance to win one of 100 Mac Cards worth 1,000 yen each.

Another campaign, titled "The day before Tatsuta's release I've been waiting for," will take place on April 15, 2025, also providing participants with a chance to win Mac Cards. Finally, on the day of the new menu launch, April 16, 2025, the "Chicken Tatsuta Golden Armor Run Debut" campaign will offer similar prizes.

The pricing for the new items is as follows: the classic Chicken Tatsuta starts at 450 yen, the Tartar Nanban Chicken Tatsuta at 500 yen, the Gohan Chicken Tatsuta at 500 yen, and the Gohan Chicken Tatsuta Tartar Nanban at 550 yen. Side items include the "Shaka Shaka Potato Jaga Butter" for an additional 40 yen, and drinks like the McFizz Setouchi Lemon Yogurt Flavor priced at 300 yen and the McFloat at 380 yen.
