McDonald’s Introduces Exciting New Menu Items

New wraps and desserts replace classic favorites as chain refreshes offerings.

McDonald's is set to make substantial changes to its menu, introducing several exciting new items aimed at enhancing customer experience. Beginning tomorrow, the fast food giant will debut four new products, including a unique katsu crispy wrap and a Milkyway McFlurry, both of which are expected to receive tremendous interest from fans.

The brand-new katsu wrap is prepared with chicken coated in katsu sauce, paired with crispy onions, cucumber, and lettuce, all wrapped up in a warm, toasted tortilla. Available for £3.49 as a standalone item or £5.29 as part of a meal, this option promises to be perfect for on-the-go lunches. For even more value, customers can snag the wrap for just £1.99 on Wednesdays, providing motivation for mid-week visits.

Fans will also be pleased to find the BBQ Ranch Stack burger making its debut. Priced at £5.19 for the burger alone or £6.99 for the meal, this creation features two beef patties topped with Emmental cheese, crispy onions, lettuce, and thick ranch and sweet BBQ sauce all served on a glazed sesame seed bun. If you’re feeling adventurous, pairing it with one of the new wraps could make for quite the lunch!

This menu update also brings back the popular McCrispy BBQ smokehouse, featuring a crispy chicken fillet with smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onions, and lettuce available for £5.79 as a single item. Meanwhile, for those with a sweet tooth, the Milkyway McFlurry will join the lineup for £2.19, featuring soft dairy ice cream swirled with milk chocolate stars and malt-flavored pieces topped with delicious chocolate sauce.

Alongside these exciting new editions, McDonald's has confirmed the departure of eight menu items as its Christmas special offerings come to a close. Notably, the iconic Big Tasty burger, famed for its large beef patty coupled with Emmental cheese and smoky sauce, will no longer be available, leaving many fans disheartened. Its return to the menu back in November, after being unavailable since March, had been met with enthusiasm from customers.

Also leaving the lineup is the much-loved Cheesy McCrispy, known for its crispy chicken fillet and unique sauce combination, along with popular desserts such as the Terry's Chocolate Orange McFlurry and the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry. The former featured soft-serve ice cream topped with delicious chocolate orange pieces, leading to its rapid devotion among dessert lovers.

These adjustments are reflective of McDonald's strategy to keep its menu fresh and engaging for customers. Their approach includes not just launching new items but also evaluating which products resonate with their customer base, often based on sales and customer feedback.

Interestingly, customers have noticed variations in pricing for the same items across different McDonald's locations. Research highlighted by The Sun indicates prices for common meals, such as the Big Mac, can differ significantly—up to 30%—at restaurants just miles apart. To help combat these differences, McDonald’s encourages customers to utilize the My McDonald’s app, which not only facilitates ordering but also offers promotions and discounts.

For example, filling out a feedback survey on their receipt can yield valuable vouchers, providing customers ways to save money on their favorite meals. Those who download the My McDonald's app and complete their profile can also receive birthday freebies, making the app potentially beneficial for budget-conscious diners.

Overall, as McDonald's continues to adjust its offerings, the fast food chain remains committed to delivering both innovation and value to its customers. With the reintroduction of popular items and the exploration of new flavors and combinations, McDonald's is poised to retain its status as both beloved brand and dining option for people seeking quick meals with satisfying variety.
