MC Ryan SP Released After R$ 1 Million Bail

The singer faces court-mandated restrictions following reckless driving incident at Piracicaba stadium.

MC Ryan SP, a popular Brazilian funk singer, was released from custody on Saturday morning, May 10, 2025, after paying a hefty bail of R$ 1 million. The release was granted by the Court of Justice of São Paulo, which also mandated that the artist must appear in court monthly to justify his activities. This ruling follows his arrest for performing dangerous maneuvers, known as "cavalos de pau," with a luxury vehicle on the lawn of the Barão da Serra Negra Stadium in Piracicaba, São Paulo.

The incident occurred shortly after Ryan's performance at a local show on the night of Friday, May 9, 2025. Reports indicate that, about an hour before taking the stage, he was caught doing stunts with his Lamborghini Huracán Evo 2022 on the stadium's field, causing significant damage. The police were called by the event's contractor, who claimed that Ryan's actions posed a risk.

According to the police report, municipal guards were patrolling the area when they were alerted to a disturbance at the stadium. Upon arrival, they found Ryan performing the stunts, which led to his immediate arrest. He has been charged with damage to property, driving without a license, and endangering the lives of others.

In his defense, Ryan took to social media, expressing his disbelief at the contractor's decision to involve the police. "I went to do a show, and there was a wide-open space that posed no risk to anyone. I ended up doing a cavalinho de pau, and the contractor called the police on me. I'm here at the station just to clarify things," he stated. He maintained that his maneuvers did not endanger anyone.

However, the situation escalated when the contractor allegedly demanded a payment of R$ 70,000 to resolve the matter quietly. Ryan indicated that he initially sent R$ 20,000 but was unable to complete the transaction due to timing issues with the payment method. The contractor subsequently reported the incident to the police.

During the legal proceedings, the court imposed several restrictions on Ryan. He is prohibited from changing his residence or leaving the district for more than eight days without judicial permission. Additionally, he is barred from visiting bars, drug sales points, or other locations associated with drug or alcohol consumption.

The court's decision also highlighted that Ryan must maintain strict confidentiality regarding the case, refraining from making any public comments about the events surrounding his arrest.

The incident has sparked considerable media attention and public discussion, with many fans expressing their opinions on social media. Some have defended Ryan, arguing that the contractor's actions were unjustified, while others believe that the singer should face consequences for his reckless behavior.

The XV de Piracicaba football club, which owns the stadium, is currently assessing the damage caused to the field. Reports suggest that the estimated cost of repairs could reach R$ 250,000, jeopardizing upcoming matches scheduled at the venue.

Delegate André de França Oliveira, overseeing the case, stated that Ryan's actions not only caused damage to the property but also posed a risk to the audience present at the time. "The damage is significant, and the next game at the stadium is compromised due to the condition of the field," he noted.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how this incident will affect Ryan's career and public image. The singer is expected to continue his legal obligations while navigating the fallout from this controversial episode.

In the meantime, Ryan's followers and fans await further updates on his situation, with many calling for a fair resolution to the matter. The case serves as a reminder of the responsibilities that come with public persona and the potential consequences of reckless behavior.
