"I was determined to keep trying and started walking around until I found the taxi stand," he recounted later. This initial hurdle was just the beginning of his chaotic travel saga.
Following his arrival at Haneda Airport, Matsumoto had hoped to navigate his way to Kakegawa using public transportation. Unfortunately, he quickly found himself lost within the complex airport layout with his suitcase and mattress—an odd combination by any measure for such a major occasion. Determined not to let the situation get the best of him, Matsumoto wandered for nearly half an hour, his frustration growing as he tried to find his way.
"I didn’t know who to ask for help, and nothing seemed familiar. I was panicking," he revealed. But Matsumoto's resilient spirit refused to yield to despair. Not one to give up easily, his persistence paid off when he finally located the taxi stand. After a hefty fare of 17,000 yen, he was on his way to the Yuusho dormitory, excited and ready to meet this new chapter head-on.
