Maserati Unveils New GranCabrio With Stunning Performance

The latest luxury convertible promises power and elegance, ideal for summer drives along the Riviera.

Maserati has unveiled its new GranCabrio, featuring the powerful 'Nettuno' V6 engine, promising luxury and performance for driving enthusiasts.

Welcome to Maserati’s latest 483bhp GranCabrio, which serves as the lineup’s entry point. Despite being the cheapest model, it’s no slouch, achieving 0 to 62 mph in just four seconds and hitting a top speed of 186 mph. Driving this beauty is likely to attract attention, especially around glamorous locales like Monaco.

The GranCabrio boasts the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine as its more powerful sibling, the 542bhp ‘Trofeo,’ though it's slightly detuned. This detuning makes it just four-tenths of a second slower to 62mph and it has 10mph less top speed. But don’t let the numbers fool you; as one enthusiast put it, it’s still fast enough to “ruin a well-crafted combover.”

Like the Trofeo, the GranCabrio employs all-wheel drive and is equipped with adaptive damping and enhanced performance features. The car includes air suspension as standard, providing comfort even on bumpy rides—great news for those who intend to drive long distances.

Inside, the GranCabrio is all about modern luxury. A trio of screens dominates the cockpit, highlighted by a large 12.3-inch infotainment display. The steering wheel is equipped with non-haptic buttons, allowing for easier navigation without the frustrating clicks. With luxury materials like 3D-printed carbon and perforated leather, the GranCabrio aims to impress both drivers and passengers alike.

Pricing for the GranCabrio has yet to be disclosed, but for reference, the Trofeo starts at £170,000 and the electric Folgore variant at £185,000. Given these figures, car enthusiasts are watching closely to see how the GranCabrio will be priced as it enters this competitive luxury convertible market.

The release of the GranCabrio marks another exciting chapter for Maserati, showcasing its commitment to blending powerful performance with elegant design. Car enthusiasts and luxury buyers alike will be eager to experience this new model, hoping it lives up to the high expectations set by its predecessors.
