Marimekko and Blue Bottle Coffee are set to launch their highly anticipated second collaboration, featuring a range of stylish coffee-related merchandise, on April 25, 2025. This collection will include eight unique items, such as mugs, tumblers, and tote bags, all adorned with the iconic Unikko pattern, a signature design of Marimekko.
The collaboration follows the success of their first partnership in June 2024, which celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Unikko design. The initial collaboration garnered significant attention and popularity, paving the way for this new venture.
From April 25 to May 16, 2025, customers can enjoy a special Marimekko Latte at Blue Bottle Coffee's Aoyama and Fukuoka Tenjin cafes. This limited-time drink is inspired by the Finnish cinnamon roll known as Korvapuusti and features a blend of carefully crafted espresso, steamed milk, and a unique vanilla-honey cinnamon syrup, topped with orange peel. The cafes will be decorated with the Unikko pattern, creating an immersive experience for visitors.
The collaboration items will be available at Blue Bottle Coffee locations nationwide and through their official online store, with some exceptions. The Unikko mug will retail for 6,050 yen, the tumbler for 6,600 yen, and the tote bag for 7,700 yen. Other items include an espresso cup and saucer for 6,600 yen, a limited edition craft instant espresso jar for 4,860 yen, a coffee spoon for 2,750 yen, an apron for 9,900 yen, and pins for 3,850 yen.
Notably, some items will be available through a lottery system on the official online store, with details to be announced on April 16, 2025. Customers will need to register as members of the Blue Bottle Coffee online store to participate in the lottery.
In-store, customers will face a purchase limit of three items per person at Blue Bottle Coffee cafes, ensuring that as many fans as possible can enjoy these exclusive products. During peak times, the cafes may distribute tickets to manage customer flow.
