Manuel Ayra Crowned Winner Of La Voz 2024

The young artist captures hearts and votes with his powerful performance of 'Tanto.'

Manuel Ayra, the talented 19-year-old from Benalup, has emerged victorious as the winner of La Voz 2024, the well-known talent show on Antena 3. Ayra captivated audiences with his heartfelt rendition of 'Tanto,' initially performed by Pablo Alborán, securing 41% of the public votes during the highly anticipated final held on December 20, 2024.

The atmosphere during the final was electric, filled with excitement and emotional performances from the four finalists: Manuel Ayra, Lola Eme, Gara Alemán, and Alan Brizuela. While Ayra's performance left little doubt about his talent, it was his coach, Antonio Orozco, who beamed with pride as he celebrated his pupil's remarkable achievement. "When I see him sing, I feel part of something that's going to be very important," Orozco said, highlighting the significance of Ayra's victory.

This victory marks another triumphant moment for Orozco, who has previously won multiple editions of La Voz. The final was not just about competition; it became a showcase of heartwarming artistic collaboration, with special performances from well-known artists like Lola Índigo, Vanesa Martín, and David Bisbal. Each participant brought their unique flair to the stage, enhancing the overall spectacle.

Ayra's musical career began earlier, as he was no stranger to La Voz—having participated as a finalist on La Voz Kids back in 2021. With the experience he gained during his earlier stint on the show, Ayra has only blossomed over the years. Reflecting on his growth, he admitted, "I want this to become something beautiful again," indicating his passionate commitment to his musical career.

The final night culminated not only with musical performances but also with emotional exchanges between the contestants. The support among finalists was palpable, creating bonds through shared experiences of pursuing their dreams through music.

Manuel Ayra's talent was evident from the very beginning when he wowed Orozco during the blind auditions with his interpretation of 'Prometo,' another song by the beloved Alborán. This moment set the stage for Ayra's progress throughout the competition and solidified his place as a frontrunner.

Despite facing stiff competition from the other finalists who displayed immense talent—particularly Lola Eme, who also received substantial audience votes—the performance Ayra delivered during the final catapulted him to the top spot. It was his personal touch and emotional depth when taking on 'Tanto' which had the audience cheering for him.

Besides the thrill of winning, Ayra will also benefit from signing a recording contract with Universal Music, propelling him onto the next steps of his professional music career.

Reflecting his successful transition from contestant to potential star, Ayra has undergone significant personal growth. He moved from his hometown to Sevilla, leading him to leave his studies in accounting and finance behind to pursue his real passion: music production.

All the hard work has paid off. With the final attracting 1.244 million viewers, or 15.3% of the audience share, it clearly captured the public's attention—especially among younger viewers, reflecting the show's enduring appeal. The series continues to serve as an inspiring platform for aspiring artists, showcasing talent and ambition.

Manuel Ayra's story is one of perseverance, proving age is just a number when it’s time for dreams to become realities. With Orozco as his mentor, and the support of the audience behind him, he is set to become one of the most promising voices the country has to offer. His future is bright, and this victory is just the beginning.
