MAH LLB Registration Deadline Extended To March 27, 2025

Candidates urged to register online before the final deadline for 3-year and 5-year law courses.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has made an important announcement for aspiring law students: the registration deadline for both the MAH LLB 3-year and 5-year courses has been extended to March 27, 2025. This extension comes in response to numerous requests from candidates and parents who expressed the need for more time to complete their applications. The CET Cell emphasized the significance of meeting this deadline, stating, "No further extension will be given after 27/03/2025. Candidates should take a note of this."

Prospective candidates can fill out the application forms online at cetcell.mahacet.org. The MAH LLB 3-year entrance examination is scheduled for May 3 and 4, 2025, while the 5-year LLB examination will take place on May 3, 2025, in various shifts throughout the day.

For those unfamiliar with the registration process, it began on December 27, 2024, for the 3-year LLB program and on January 3, 2025, for the 5-year program. Candidates need to keep in mind the eligibility criteria, which vary based on the course.

To qualify for the 5-year LLB course, candidates must have completed their Class 10+2 education from a recognized board, with open category applicants needing a minimum of 45% marks. In contrast, SC/ST candidates require at least 40%, while VJNT, SBC, and OBC applicants must hold at least 42% in their Class 10+2 exam.

For applicants to the 3-year LLB course, a graduate degree in any stream from a recognized college or university is requisite. The open category candidates must also achieve a minimum of 45% in their graduation, whereas SC/ST candidates need at least 40% and VJNT, SBC, and OBC candidates 42% to apply.

The application fee for candidates varies: general category candidates from Maharashtra and those migrating from J & K must pay INR 1000, while candidates from outside Maharashtra also face the same fee. Reserved category candidates hailing from Maharashtra pay a reduced fee of INR 800, which includes candidates from SC, ST, VJ/DT (NT-A), NT-1(B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC, and SBC.

Exam details haven’t changed significantly; the total marks for the MHT CET 2025 have been reduced from 150 to 120. Candidates will face a computer-based test lasting two hours (120 minutes), featuring a total of 120 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer will earn +1 mark, with no penalties for incorrect answers.

The examination structure for both the 3-year and 5-year programs informs candidates of the format they can expect. For the 5-year LLB, the test will encompass five sections: Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge with Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English, and Mathematics. In contrast, the 3-year LLB examination will consist of four sections, excluding Mathematics.

As the exam dates approach, students are encouraged to remain engaged and diligent in their studies. The MH CET Law admit card is expected to be released in April 2025, which will include crucial details such as the exam center address, timing, candidate's roll number, and important instructions for exam day.

For any further inquiries regarding the application process, students can reach out through the official help channels. The CET Cell has set up an online query system to facilitate communication, encouraging candidates to ensure they understand the requirements and are adequately prepared for the upcoming exams.

Additionally, candidates can follow the specified steps for registration to ensure a smooth application process: they are advised to visit cetcell.mahacet.org, click on the MAH LLB CET 2025 registration link, enter the necessary registration details, log in, fill out the application form, process the payment, and finally submit the form. Keeping a hard copy of the completed application is also recommended for future reference.

The opportunity to register for the MAH LLB 3-year and 5-year courses has now been extended, allowing potential students to seize their chance to pursue law conveniently, but they must act quickly to meet the deadline set for March 27. With exams fast approaching, careful preparation and adherence to these guidelines will provide the best chance for success in these competitive assessments.
