Mac DeMarco is officially not retiring. The 34-year-old singer-songwriter — who said “maybe I’ll never be back” to a crowd on his 2022 tour — just announced he’s releasing a new album in August 2025 and going on an international trek to support the record. Early in the run, the “Chamber Of Reflection” crooner is scheduled to make a pair of Big Apple stops when he plays back-to-back gigs at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, September 7, and Monday, September 8.
As of now, not much is known about DeMarco’s new music other than it is due to drop sometime in August. No official release date is set. Most recently, he dropped a pair of lo-fi, sun-drenched singles with Ryan Paris. Prior to that, the British Columbia native unveiled two albums in 2023: the 14-song “Five Easy Hot Dogs” and the truly epic, mostly instrumental 199-track “One Wayne G” that clocks in at 9.5 hours. Yes, really. Clearly, the ambitious musician will have his pick of the litter when it comes to dreaming up a set list for this upcoming jaunt.

Based on our findings at Set List FM, the last time DeMarco performed was in July 2024 at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Here’s what he took to the stage that evening: “On the Level,” “Salad Days,” “Nobody,” “Cooking Up Something Good,” “Rock and Roll Night Club,” “Round Here,” “The Stars Keep On Calling My Name,” “My Old Man,” “Heart to Heart,” “For the First Time,” “She Want the Sandwich,” “Ode to Viceroy,” “This Old Dog,” “Proud True Toyota,” “Passing Out Pieces,” “Fooled by Love,” “20200820 Turn My TV On,” “I Like Her,” “Another One,” “Little Dogs March,” “One More Love Song,” “Still Beating,” “On the Square,” “Freaking Out the Neighborhood,” “My Kind of Woman,” “Moonlight on the River,” and the encore “Pop Goes the Weasel” (traditional cover) with Bear the dog coming on stage, followed by “Still Together.”
The ever-prolific DeMarco — who as you may recall, casually dropped a 199-song album in 2023 — put out a pair of singles with Ryan Paris in 2024, as noted above. “Still What I’m Looking For” is an unassuming piece of acoustic rock, bordering on folk. It’s simple yet endlessly listenable and, if you listen closely enough, you’ll hear signature DeMarco touches like his warbly twang and shimmering feedback. Rounding out the brief offering is the sleek “Simply Paradise.” This one is a bit sillier and almost sounds like Jimmy Fallon goofin’ with Justin Timberlake in the early-aughts. That’s not to denigrate the tune; it’s still a fun, romantic bop.

Mac DeMarco is hitting the road again. The beloved Canadian singer-songwriter has confirmed a full run of live shows across North America, Europe, and the UK later this year — all in celebration of his upcoming album, expected to drop in August. “I have an album coming in August, see you at the shows,” Mac shared in his signature laid-back style. While he hasn’t revealed the album title or tracklist just yet, fans are already buzzing.
This will be his first new release since 2023’s Five Easy Hot Dogs and the ambitious 199-track One Wayne G. The tour kicks off August 29 in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre and will travel through major cities like New York, Berlin, Paris, and London. UK fans can look forward to six shows, including a night at the Eventim Apollo in London. Tickets will go on general sale later this week — exact timing varies by country. More info can be found on Mac’s official site or ticket vendors in your region.
Mac DeMarco has added a second Manchester show to his autumn UK tour. Due to demand, the Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist will play an extra date at Aviva Studios on November 15, the day after his previously confirmed and now sold-out gig at the venue. He'll also perform in Birmingham, Brighton, London, Cambridge, Bristol, and Dublin as part of a wider European tour that follows US dates in August and September. He'll close out the year with 11 Canadian shows in December.
Tickets for the North American dates go on general sale at 9 am local time today (April 11). Tickets for the UK and European shows are on sale now. DeMarco released his most recent studio album, 'One Wayne G', in 2023. He also put out 'Five Easy Hot Dogs' earlier that year, 2023. He's due to drop a new record in August 2025.
