Lucknow University's Faculty of Management Studies kicked off its annual management festival, ‘Gravitas,’ with much enthusiasm, celebrating the fourth edition of this unique event. From networking opportunities to honing marketing skills through creative advertisements, the three-day affair promises to be both educational and entertaining for its participants.
The festival began on Thursday and features various engaging activities, including meme marketing, treasure hunts, and debates. "Gravitas is a unique platform to engage students in diverse cultural, academic, and managerial activities. It is fully student-driven, allowing participants to take on leadership roles, sharpen decision-making abilities, and develop practical management skills," said Prof. Sangeeta Sahu of the Faculty of Management Studies.
With the theme of this edition centered around the popular game show, "Squid Game," the event embodies elements of strategy, competition, and excitement. Throughout the festival, management students are provided with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to real-world situations, as they conceptualize and execute every aspect of the fest.
"From organizing logistics to managing event schedules, each segment of this fest is handled by us, enhancing our managerial skills and leadership development," shared MBA student Ankit, reflecting the spirit of Gravitas. He emphasized how the event serves as more than just a cultural fest; it is also viewed as a dynamic learning platform for students.
Gravitas not only emphasizes learning but also the importance of practical experience. The students of LU are fully immersed, gaining first-hand experiences and skills necessary for their holistic development. The various activities present challenges, allowing students to showcase their talents and collaborate with peers, thereby building teamwork and problem-solving skills.
