The pup went missing on December 31 when the individual walking her, momentarily losing grip, slipped on some ice. Those brief seconds provided Sky with just enough time to dart off on her own.
The events unfolded as families started their New Year's celebrations, which complicated the search efforts. Initially, Sky had been leashed, but after the slip, she took off and disappeared among the woods above the ski slopes at Campetti—never to be seen by her worried owner until days later.
Federica wasted no time and took to social media, sharing heartfelt posts alongside photographs of Sky sporting the distinctive purple coat she had on when she vanished. Her appeal garnered significant attention, being shared over 2,000 times within mere hours, mobilizing the local community.
