The National High School Volleyball Championship semifinals on December 11, held at the Tokyo Yoyogi National Gymnasium, showcased thrilling matches as Kyoei Gakuen and Shimokitazawa Seiritsu secured their spots for the finals.

The girls' bracket saw Kyoei Gakuen from Tokyo vying for consecutive championships against Jusyu from Okayama. Kyoei managed to clinch victory with a scoreline of 3-1, demonstrating their competitive edge throughout the match. They faced fierce resistance, especially from Jusyu, who fought hard but fell short of extending their campaign.

Meanwhile, last year's runner-up, Shimokitazawa Seiritsu, faced off against Kinran Kai from Osaka. This encounter turned out to be equally gripping, with Shimokitazawa edging out Kinran with a 3-2 victory. Their performance was marked by resilience and strategic plays, allowing them to overcome obstacles and secure their place.

On the boys' side, the competition was equally intense, featuring the defending champions, Sundai Gakuen from Tokyo, as they took on Ichinoseki from Hyogo. Sundai executed their plays masterfully, sweeping the match with scores of 25-14, 25-18, and 25-23. Their seamless coordination and skill put them firmly on track to defend their title.

Higashi Fukuoka from Fukuoka also progressed to the finals without breaking much sweat against Toa Gakuen from Tokyo, winning decisively with 25-10, 25-17, and 25-18.
